Gray is a pretty broad description. Do you want a blue-gray, green-gray, greige? Warm? Cool? What color did you already test, and what didn’t you like about it?

I know there's tons of them. The ones I tried are Behr Stone Mason Gray, which on the sample boards looked good. Also, S.W. Gray Matters, Behr Coblestone Gray. All are way way too blue. B.M. Chelsea Gray, which actually does look gray, but is pretty dark, which makes me about leery.

BM Coventry Gray? Maybe too light? BM Fieldstone 1558, but it’s a bit greenish. Most of the BM grays in my fandeck are either blue, green, or brownish. The ones you tried are fairly battleship. Do you have any inspiration photos of the look you are going for?

I don't. I mean, I've seen houses online that I like the color of. That's how I found the samples I've tried so far. I'm thinking if I lightened the Chelsea Gray by half or maybe 25%.
