I need help with exterior paint colors please!

I've attached pic of current exterior of my house. I feel in it's current state (colorwise) it just looks flat with no depth or dimension. I just had the roof re-shingled a year ago with OC TruDef TEAK color shingles (vast improvement over original shingles). Problem is, I am trying to find complementary paint colors that will bring out the BRICK and Shingle colors. I prefer to go with Sherwin Williams colors.

I feel the paint color of the house now has too much yellow/gold undertones which I would like to avoid. I've also tried SW ColorSnap/Visualizer testing some grayish tone colors but they just don't seem to look right with the brick and roof. I'm thinking I need a warmish neutral color (like the perfect greige but more brown as opposed to gray) but to be honest I am getting super frustrated!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!!

P.S. - attaching pics of shingle color, closeup of brick color, and 1 pic of visualizer with DARK trim that I kind of like..... I'm not perfect at this colorsnap thing, so please no rude comments, lol

No all that siding is vinyl. It's getting much better.

Here is your home in taupe with white trim. Not too dark, not too light. Just enough color to bring out the best in your brick and roof. Contrast the bumped out gable in white.

I would change out the top panel of your garage doors for windows and say DONE!

@BeverlyFLADeziner, that house is beautiful and I like the color scheme but looks like it has a grayish color roof? The paint color looks like a taupe with a hint of green? at least that's what I'm seeing...

I've attached a photo view of the neutrals that the designers use most. It's just a matter of choosing which one you like. With brick and red I'd be inclined to go toward a soft creamy tone. Here is a link that might be useful: Neutral light colors

Adorable House! The wood-colored wood trim (not the off-white trim) is just too much; it muddles the clean lines of the house, calling attention to itself but not particularly to any feature of the house. I'm my own self would paint it the same color as the stucco...& I really like that Saybrook Sage! On my screen, the ultra white does not look ultra white LOL. It looks sort of a misty color, which would go well with the Saybrook Sage. Again, the clean lines of the house need Harmony rather than contrast. It's a really nice house, have fun!

This is Agreeable Gray, Extra White and Gauntlet Gray. I actually think it would be a mistake to go too much gray on the body. You will already have a gray roof. Canvas Tan is a little grayer than Patience. I would not use those garage doors shown above. They are a modern design and your house is closer to traditional. I also think the wood grain and side windows when combined with stone would look too busy. I hope one of the professionals will speak to the door as I am just a person like you. What is the name of your HOA? Stay away from Unique Gray. It is lilac color.

I think it will be easiest to find a pale sage since it is almost a neutral but it needs to be lighter than the stone. A grey blue might blend into the stone too much but that nearly navy with bright white trim had a nice contrast with the stone. Possible a golden tan or buttercream would work if the stone has some yellow undertones.

I like the dark trim you added. Try the house in B.M. Sea Haze…it looks to me, on my monitor, sea haze is a good coordinate with the roof and the brick, undertone is brown and not gray.

Siding is Revere Pewter and front door is Wyeth Blue.

RP may be too green for your house, but try it and the Sea Haze. Both will look great with Wyeth.

Great Thanks so much :-) I already have sample of Revere Pewter, which I love but it appears almost white (was going to use in my basement with very little natural light, but didn't use because I wanted more color). I will add Sea Haze to my list of samples to have mixed, looks like a beautiful color on the monitor, although not sure how much green it has in it...but you never know until you make sample posters and physically place on the wall you intend to paint! Ugh, also the front exterior of my home faces east so it gets a ton of sunlight from morning until late afternoon, any color I choose will appear lighter. My main goal is to choose a color that will complement the roof and brick but at the same time not appear flat or one dimensional. This has been a lot more difficult than I anticipated, ugh!

@Beverly I absolutely love the colors, style and architecture of that house! So cute! Unfortunately I'm not sure those colors would complement my house because my roof shingles are more of a dark brown with hints of rust. I've held a dozen samples of grayish colors against my brick and they all appear bluish and just look off :( I'm thinking for the body of the house I need to stay in a warmish beigey/taupe?

Also, my entry porch has flagstone paver flooring which I added a few pics. The colors in the pavers are brown/gray/rust.

Love your house! Your roof, brick, and flagstone are all warm colors, and the roof and the flagstone have some intensity of color. They need a color with some weight to it, just enough to stand up to them LOL, not enough to challenge them. Look at some samples in a deeper sage color or a silvery/bronzy/greeny color. If it will go with your flagstone, it will go with the house. Have fun!

@Sylvia Thanks so much :-) I agree, maybe I'm playing it too safe sticking with lighter beigey colors... I need to get a bit more adventurous!

Have been considering new garage doors with windows! Love the look. Is it possible to have windows installed in existing garage doors? I thought I would have to buy all new garage doors with windows which is quite pricey!

As a comparison this is the color that is currently on my house - Behr Canyon View - which I feel has a bit too much yellow/gold in it that I don't like... but it DOES NOT look like it in this picture! ugh! goes to show how much lighting plays a huge factor!!!
