LOL. The two tabbies look like my girls (who pulled the tiny roses out of my Mothers' Day arrangement last night :-( ).

That looks just about right. The only thing missing is ball of yarn and a crochet hook. That way you can say you had good intentions, but the cats had a different idea.

Recliners are amazing things. Not only do cats love to sit on them with you, but have you noticed how quickly you doze off in these chairs?

Another resident came to the chair and put his paws on it, took a look at the others and decided Dad's lap looked like a better spot.

Currently don't have a recliner and haven't for several years. Thinking about purchasing another to easily elevate feet, but don't have room for it without getting rid of one chair, and I really don't want to do that. Will probably just start looking for a good ottoman.

Please enjoy your recliners and riser chairs with safety in mind. Dogs and cats as well as children sustain a lot of injuries from recliners each year. There have even been documented reports of deaths. Like everything else in life it's important to balance pleasure with safety.

WalnutCreek, there are some nice small size recliners. I have one in a mission style, leather back and cushion, from Macy's I bought going on three years ago; and it has held up very well. However I'm the only one living here and it gets most use in the mornings and evenings when I watch the news/TV.

I've got twelve feet up and two on the floor. Suits me just fine.

And you probably stayed like that, despite leg cramping and eventually, numbness, until one or more of the cats decided to move. I know I would’ve. ;)
