I put my dog down - it was so peaceful
Comments (10)Thanks for your kind words . Your thoughts touched my heart deeply . I'll be crying for quite a while. My eyes are so swollen - they hurt. A neighbor had bought her for his wife for a birthday gift . She came down with Parvo --- yet survived ,but they just didn't want to take care of her anymore. They gave her to a different neighbor - that neighbor decided she didn't want her so I took her. That's why I named her "Annie" ( Anna) little orphan Annie. And that's her story ! She had a great life. All my dogs lived long - Bootsie - 12 (small terrier mix ) Bucky - 13 ( collie/lab) Lady - 13 ( Golden ) Ellie -13 ( Rottie ) Anna - 17 (cocker/bichon) and I had a cat -lived to 20 .( free from a rummage sale ) Sorry for babbling ... I just need to keep reminding myself that all my dogs had a nice long lives . ((((((( Everybody )))))))))...See MoreThis Plant Called My Name...So I Bought It. What IS It?lol
Comments (13)"The best way to find out what it is is to look at photos and compare them with the actual plant you have". Actually Dilly_Dally I DID do a search for pictures! That's why I posted and said "I'm leaning toward it being the Mistletoe Cactus. I did a search for pictures of it after Liz mentioned it". Thanks everyone else! I'm still thinking it's a Mistletoe Cactus. I've never even heard of them. Walmart only had 2. Soxxxx..it probably would have jumped in my buggy, but I had to do some rearranging to make a place for her to sit! lol I also asked and posted the pictures over on the Cacti & Succulents Forum. Got a couple of responses, but only thing I understood was "It's not a Pencil Cactus", then they started using the "fancy" names! lol Here is a link that might be useful: Cacti & Succulents Forum...See MoreWhere can I put end tables. Comments (8)It looks like there's room between the chair and the sofa where the big pile of packing material (styrofoam?) is. The other end is more problematic. You might think about a C table like this one from West Elm (I tried to post a pic but it wouldn't upload). If there's enough clearance under your sofa or loveseat, when you don't have guests you can tuck the base of the C table under the sofa with the table top over the seat, out of the way (but still useful) until you have guests....See MoreWill I mess up my soil and kill my plants if I put bricks on the soil?
Comments (2)I would think that if you put a LOT of weight over a shallow root system it may affect it. So try to stack them not too high - a few layers. Just a gut feeling, I have no proof of that. The other thing is oxygen - if you completely cover the soil around a plant doesn't that keep air out of the shallow soil? Although trees grow right next to pavement and in small holes in the sidewalks in cities so what do I know....See More- 8 years ago
