Just caught onto WS, is it ok to start now?
Comments (9)Hiya Melissa! Welcome to the addiction, and the forum. You'll find that the people in the particular one are the nicest people ever!I'm about 30 minutes East of you and there is plenty of time yet. As for the clear containers, that's what most of us use. Usually anything you can see your fingers through if you press them against the insides (like milk jugs). Personally, for me, the milk jugs always worked the best, but soda bottles come a close second. Will you be able to close up or put a top on the containers you already have? Some people have success with putting pots in the clear garbage bags with holes punched in the top and the bottom of the bag, but I've had trouble figuring out how to keep the part over the tops up off the soil for the seedlings to have enough head room. Check out wintersown.org (I included a link at the bottom for it) for lots of info. Trudi will even send you free seed to get you started. And, she sends great seeds! I won't wish you good luck because with wintersowing you'll have more sprouts than you'll know what to do with, so I'll just wish you to have fun! Comments (31)Sorry ladies, I would share some of the heat and sunshine with you if I could. It was pleasant yesterday, then got so warm today--going back down all week according to the forecast--but no more freezing temps expected. I'm still not sure how many of my plants may have been killed--I'm watching for signs of growth before I pull them out--they might surprise me! I hope, I hope! Tam--I used to live in Missouri and Kansas, so know about those wind chill factors! DH used to work on the flight line while in the Airforce--and there was nothing to block those cold winds. Just be careful, and be safe--so easy to slip on the icy sidewalks. Luvs...See More2 teens caught for shooting a baby
Comments (17)Regardless of the mother's history (or the issues surrounding the other death) this baby nor his didn't deserve to fall prey to two thugs as he was being strolled down the street. I know the topic has been discussed many times but it just seems like the unthinkable is becoming more and more common in our society. I don't think it's always been this way and we just hear about it more because of the Internet. And I really don't know what the answer is to fix it. What I do know for sure though is that since local municipalities are laying off police officers and cutting back on city services, it realistically could get worse....See MoreSo my stove just caught on fire...
Comments (3)That's what I am wondering. I'm confused about this stove because at my last home crumbs were never really a problem (that stove was propane, this is electric.) With this one, every crumb seems to catch on a small fire the size of the crumb, but always goes out right away. Also, we bought new burner plates instead of the disposable ones that the people who lived here before us used, and immediately after use they turned black and couldn't be restored. I'm wondering if it has something to do with the stove?...See Moreadellabedella_usa
