need advice on paint color. Small bathroom remodel.
Comments (6)Ok, so in order of the pics, we're looking at flooring, acrylic tub surround and marble (granite?) top? Are these all bought? Did you take a picture of these three elements in the same lighting? I ask because lighting is everything in how we perceive colour and on my monitor (which might not render the colours true), these elements aren't cohesive. The surround looks like a cool grey on my screen while the other two skew warm. All three have a pattern as well which usually makes a small space look busy. That said, you have two horizontal applications (counter and floor) and one vertical (surround) so that will affect how we perceive the colours as well. Will you have a glass shower door or a curtain? If a glass shower door, I'd be tempted to find a colour that relates to the surround (I'd pick the lightest of the swirls). If you'll have a curtain and won't see the surround, I'd pick the lightest colour in your countertop. Bringing a sample to the paint store and having them match your element is one easy way to find that colour. (Both Sherwin-Williams and Benjamin Moore have phone apps that can help you identify their closest match colour to a hard surface.) A greige colour is a chameleon colour that skews both warm and cool grey depending on the light and I'd be tempted to look at those. Benjamin Moore's Silver Satin might be a good one to try. Hope this helps....See MoreSMALL bathroom paint color to go with tile.
Comments (52)OK. I had it narrowed down to two ways. ONE mural wall facing the hallway . shown below and paint the rest of the walls and vanity a gray color, OR a color to match the mural .. maybe even deep a rose colored.vanity. 3 of four walls gray ?? . TWO --------how do you all feel if I used an Ellie Cashman floral paper BUT only 3/4 way down the walls on THREE walls . instead of fully covering all four walls ? I would do the paper From the Ceiling TO the top of vanity splash guard . Paint the rest of the wall black from the vanity down except also paint the one wall with the toilet , all black. chair rail to separate the paper and paint (?) Frame a piece of the wallpaper for above the toilet in a nice frame with a thick Matt board to give the wall something . . Paint vanity black or cream/white (?)depending on the wallpaper choice light or dark ... ... . . I can manage for three walls ( 3/4 way down the ceiling from ceiling ) but 4 walls all the way from ceiling to floor is just something I cant do at this point in my decorating spree. below are my picks. https://www.elliecashmandesign.com/us/floral-wallpaper/summer-squal-daylight-white-wallpaper https://www.instagram.com/p/BkkBdAaghEl/?utm_source=ig_embed https://www.elliecashmandesign.com/floral-wallpaper/dark-floral-ii-black-desaturated-vinyl-wallcovering https://www.elliecashmandesign.com/floral-wallpaper/dark-floral-ii-light-vinyl-wallcoveringAGAIN, Her largest flowers are around 16" . all suggestions are welcomed. I will make my decision tomorrow:) Then you all don't have to see my posts popping up all the time :). Comments (18)THANKS. It was a long haul but done with it. Just need to get toliet paper holder and something fo the hand towel . I used desaturated 100% I think white would look GREAT on the bottom! I did the lt black ( BM -SOOT) because the tile was white, but the vanity marble was off white....See MoreVery small bathroom -- paint color
Comments (0)I'm renovating my 8' x 10' apartment bathroom. It has an 11' ceiling but virtually no natural light. The shower/tub area will be floor to ceiling white subway tile/light gray grout. The floor tile is light gray with some white in it (pic). The pedestal sink and toilet are white. I want to introduce some color via the wall paint. All I can come up with is silvery blue. (pic -- all similar colors from Benjamin Moore -- Silver Mist, Beacon Gray and Mt Rainier Gray). Does any one have any paint color suggestions? Needs to be light-ish color. Thank you!...See MoreJodie White Designs
