Sunburned rubber tree leaves

Paul Jenkins

It’s important to note that I live on England and England is notorious for its weather. Cold, rainy, frost sometimes in summer, very cloudy and hardly any sun with random heatwaves. Haha.

Now, I keep the 2 rubber tress in the greenhouse over the summer because it gets too cold at night for them here, even in the greenhouse, but I keep them inside over winter and last year they were doing extrmely well over the summer after I noticed they weren’t growing inside and decided to move them outside, and they put out a lot of new leaves, but I moved them out to full sun too quickly last year and they got badly burned but they adjusted fine.

However, now it is getting warmer (for England) and I’m trying to adjust them to more light slowly this time but just putting them out for a few hours has burned the new leaves that grew in the warm, humid kitchen over the winter.

Is there any way I can prevent them from getting more burned?

Thanks. Peace.
