Drum Roll Please..............
Comments (25)I broke out in a big sweat working in my garden on Labor Day/Monday and rubbed my eyes, too, Sandy. I had brought in one extra monarch caterpillar, but I was very careful not to let any milk get on anything. The eye doctor showed me the pictures of my eye, and I apparently dislodged the scar tissue in my eye. In December, 2007, a stick somehow got under my glasses on a path in the woods and this stick poked me in the eye right over the pupil. The doctor says that this type scar tissue doesn't "seat" well and tends to come undone. I was in horrible pain, couldn't stand any light, but I'm amazed at how quickly I'm recovering. The doctor said if it happens again, I should have a procedure done where he completely anesthetizes your eye and then pokes little things in your cornea. It sounds so horrible, I think I'll need general anesthesia for that! It supposedly causes the scar tissue to adhere to the cornea - I hope it doesn't happen again. I don't think MW milk was the cause - the doctor thought my rubbing probably did it - though I suppose it could have been. By the way, I saw this female monarch start to lay an egg on the underside of a MW leaf, and she touched on a caterpillar! - 'don't know if she actually laid the egg on the cat or not! Comments (50)With all these good wishes and replies, I'm feeling more excited..just wish I wasn't so far away. It's hard being a long distance grandma. I do pray these babies won't come too early and that all will be ok. Mom and Dad already have their hands full with six year old Erin and 3 year old Colin, who was recently diagnosed with Autism. :( Thank you dear friends; you're just the best! :) Granlan Hugs...See MoreShopping for shoes yesterday
Comments (10)I only wear comfortable shoes at this point in my life and my feet are very hard to fit, they are flatter than flat so anything looks terrible on me because of how my feet are. but a few brands that I can wear are Merrell, I have 2 pair of them that I wear as my dressier every day shoes. Dr.Comfort shoes, Keen I have my Keen sandals that I live in during the summer they are not girlie shoes but are wonderful. And Born shoes are great and so are Clarks. This is very similar to my fave Merrells but mine are a bit dressier but do have the zip, and are leather. Lorelei Zip You should see a podiatrist and have them do a professional fitting on you, so many people think they are in the right size but actually they aren't and wearing shoes that fit badly can really cause serious toe and foot problems. My mother is a perfect example of that, she wore shoes that were too tight and too pointed for most of her life and now at 89 her feet are so crippled up she can barely wear shoes at all. Her toes are all on top of each other from being squished into those pointed shoes, reminiscent of the bound feet of Oriental women....See MoreDrum Roll Please! Stacy's Grandbabies (5 Pics)
