Auteck, I've been warned against afternoon "watering" as opposed to light "misting". Which one are you doing? I will try to get some updated pictures for you. heelsfan, I just came back from columbia, SC which is only 4 hours drive from here and what a difference in climate. It has rained here twice in the last 2 months yet yesterday in SC I got thunderstormed on 8 times in one day. It was like a rain forest. That is the kind of humid coastal plain weather that puts that tropical swamp grasses into high gear and we haven't had that here and we don't normally even get that kind of weather until August. If you're having or have had that kind of hot humid weather with temps in the mid 90's and above then that really isn't what I'm having to contend with. I did see some tall fescue that actually looked like it was in excellent shape though.

I broke out in a big sweat working in my garden on Labor Day/Monday and rubbed my eyes, too, Sandy. I had brought in one extra monarch caterpillar, but I was very careful not to let any milk get on anything. The eye doctor showed me the pictures of my eye, and I apparently dislodged the scar tissue in my eye. In December, 2007, a stick somehow got under my glasses on a path in the woods and this stick poked me in the eye right over the pupil. The doctor says that this type scar tissue doesn't "seat" well and tends to come undone. I was in horrible pain, couldn't stand any light, but I'm amazed at how quickly I'm recovering. The doctor said if it happens again, I should have a procedure done where he completely anesthetizes your eye and then pokes little things in your cornea. It sounds so horrible, I think I'll need general anesthesia for that! It supposedly causes the scar tissue to adhere to the cornea - I hope it doesn't happen again. I don't think MW milk was the cause - the doctor thought my rubbing probably did it - though I suppose it could have been. By the way, I saw this female monarch start to lay an egg on the underside of a MW leaf, and she touched on a caterpillar! - 'don't know if she actually laid the egg on the cat or not! Sherry

just a little update. brought mine out of the greenhouse and into some filtered shade. They overwintered pretty good. A little yellowing on a couple and just a touch of leaf drop. Not a big fruit set but thats ok because I plan to push these with more N this year to really get bigger. Fukushu, key and washington left to right meyer, bearrs lime, armstrong satsuma, seedling grapefruit and seedling lemon, left to right up close of fukushu kumquat, probably my favorite right now. Prolific bloomer, great fruit set, and always healthy. Its regulary flowers every other month or so. Steve these are for you the lemon seedling on the right is one of 2 of the very first citrus I grew. the other I gave to my mother. Both were germinated in the Fall of 2009 making them just over 6 years old. Ive neglected them a little and thats why they arent so big. One did flower last spring but just one or 2 flowers. Grapefruit is about 3 years old. and again neglected a little. mike

See, I'd just tell my DH that he could enjoy the sunrise while he's doing the laundry rather than while he's making coffee! ;) I kind of like the look of latest rendition, but I'm not loving the function. Leaving the laundry in the MBR would kill it for me. I know you don't mind it, but I can't imagine that it wouldn't be a sticking point for some potential buyer down the road. It would be for me. The issue raised earlier about kids having to come in the parents' room to do their laundry as they got older would be even stickier with the addition of another bedroom--i.e., room for a second kid with laundry needs. Could your stackable W/D fit in that closet area in the mudroom? Also, how will you use this desk? Will it become your home office space? If not, it seems like it would become a clutter magnet, ruining that nice view. I still prefer the rendition above where you reuse your sink and five-panel door. I think it makes the space far more useful in a house where useful space is at a premium.

Oh how beautiful are they!Lakota is going to be one handsome little guy. Hope you get to see them often so you can keep posting those gorgeous pictures. Is the young lady holding the baby your daughter Stacy? What a pretty girl she is too. lovely smile.

Oh wow Stacy!!!! They are gorgeous! And Kasey looks amazing too! I hope that these newest pictures are your way of saying that Lee has changed his way of thinking. *fingers crossed tight*

I know you have an extra big couch to snuggle all the grandkids at on once. They are growing so fast. I have to laugh at the second youngest. Her look says..granny has her camera and she's pointing it at me.. again...:)

Thanks everyone....Lakota is the only one who has/had hair.....I dont think he is going to lose it either....Chenoa was modeling like Aunt Sydney in her prom dress, and I asked Johna did she alwasy have food on her face and that was the lovely look I got...that one is a pistol. I still don't know if we get Gabe and Levi this weekend...but I am not trying to push to hard....just taking it slow.....If we don't get them this weekend I will go back one day next when Gabe and Levi are not in school.....Thanks so much CB for posting these...the internet we have now is so slow it takes forever to get pics to load and I was/am not in the mood to wait LOL.....Thanks again everyone...Oh yes and that is Kasey for those who don't remember.....Stacy

Chenoa (the one in purple) does look almost just like Gabe did as just as sweet...she calls her self Nonie baloney and that is "her" baby Johna and he baby brother Lakota Allen Hays....she is very protective.....Stacy

Yes Leslie Johna is 1 and Chenoa is 2....Johna's personality is so different from Gabe and Levi and Chenoa's.....as her looks are different...I think Lakota looks more like her also....Everyone here thinks that she looks more like me then even Gabe and Nonie do? I don't see it they say the mouth?? Ahhh one day I will have to get on my old comptuer and post old pics of Kasey she has aged so much but being so young and having her life it does that to you I guess....Stacy

Stacy, They are all just beautiful.
I know Kasey has not had the life most of us would want for her, but I do hope she is happy. It kinda makes me sad, but they sure do have pretty babies!!

Good luck with getting to see them. Are they close
to his family??
