The brown roof limits you, as it needs to compliment it. I would get creative with your trim, porch rail and shutters. If those are not actual working shutters, removing them may give your house style a sleeker look.

I like the Blue ..but I would remove the shutters

I like my trim to match my windows so I would do all the trim white with the body blue maybe a little darker than you pictured as blue can look gray

I like the blue with the white trim. I would paint the porch railings and posts white as well. Planter boxes on the porch rails would be so pretty in the summer.

imo blue or white are both nice, remove the fake shutters and improve your columns (they look like a toothpicks) and railing

that red roof is throwing off the blues you picked. you'll have to go darker if you want blue.

you could do the siding in a white or gray, and do the blue for all of the trim work and porch railing.

With that new roof, I'd say unless the siding needs to be painted, consider leaving it as is but doing the trim in white as on your blue house illustration. Also paint the porch railings and posts white and paint the porch floor and steps chocolate or cocoa. Then pop your door with something like bitter sweet or orange. Leave off the shutters, remove the bush left of the porch, trim up the tree and the clump of shrubs on the right, and plant lots of blooming things in your beds. If there's a street out front take your wider sidewalk straight out to the street.

I got the picture from google maps (since it was summertime when they took it), and updated some of the colors. i may look very different from the first ones i posted. We are still very confuse about what color to use. Any suggestions on your favorite?

That big bush/tree has to go. Those Sherwin Williams paints all look washed out. That was so nice of you Karen. I always love gray tones myself as gray goes with any color and is earthy looking to fit in any surroundings.

I actually like the navy or slate with your roof color. The other colors look too washed out to me.

I like the navy and the white with black trim windows. I would stay away from a true gray with your brown roof. You need something a bit warmer, perhaps a greige. You might look at SW Perfect Greige.

I would lean more towards sage.

Since you don't like the current brown, which blends with the brown-tone roof, I'd say go with a high-contrast color to the brown-tone roof. (Pale blue - no. Taupe - no. Sage green - no.) Personally, I'd stay off the trendy gray-train.

I recommend white or a deep navy with white trim. Maybe even maroon with white trim.

Hi everyone! So I wanted to come back here and post an update of our house. So we got it painted last May and we chose elephant ear for the siding, white trims and Oceanside for the front door, all of the colors are Sherwin Williams. I also removed the big bush we had in front of the house next to the drive way. :D we are very happy with the new colors!
