Thank you! That really is beautiful. It feels so calm and soothing. Saybrook Sage was definitely on my short list. Painter was there this morning and we ended up going with a different combination of sage/greens. After seeing your photo, I hope I don't regret not going with Saybrook. Otherwise, I'm afraid the painter will be back yet again, or worse yet, I'll be breaking out the rollers to do it myself. Thanks for the link too. I can't wait to see what others have done.

Thanks Pharaoh, and everyone. Prill, I had to go into the big city to get it. Natick Tile Showcase, to be exact. I tried to buy local, but just couldn't manage. Tonight, I have the feeling that I don't like the color of the counter with the tile. I have read about that initial shock response here so many times. I tell my clients to give it a few days when a new color goes on the walls. Intellectually, I know it will get better when everything is put back together. Right now, I am just tired and kind of sad. Everything was bliss with the last kitchen. Sometimes I feel like nothing has gone right with this one. Off to a hot bath...

We used a tan/cream/gold color quartzite on our natural-looking pool, and the masons laid it also on the vertical 6" or 8" inches under the coping. Our pool builder recommended, and did, soften the edges of the coping so they are a bit more uniform (not totally uniform) and smooth, so as not to catch a bathing suit if a kid slid into the pool. Just use your same stone, assuming it will do ok in the water.

It's hard for me as a non-tile-installer to explain-they're textured but when the grout is wiped off it will come right out of the ridges. I've seen them installed, the distressing was still very evident. I'd be mad if it was lost too!
