Help me! Tricky lighting, what fixtures do I do?

Emily Stiles

Hi All, I need some help. still working on a Spanish revival home in Denver Co. The house has the original very authentic light fixtures through out. The arm brackets that were used look terrible, and the wiring is exposed and not to code. I am torn between having custom brackets made, rewiring the lights, and using the original lanterns, but the metal is rusted and the glass is a bad gold color, and I am wanting to modernize the feel slightly.

So do I replace them, and what do I replace them with? I have 14" from the base of the arch to the top of the beam. The electrical box is at the very low edge of the arch. I can't seem to find a fixture that would work. Please help, anyone have any ideas?
