I'm off work today for MLK day and slept in a bit. Went to my Weight Watchers meeting ( the first one in a month) and now finally eating some scrambled eggs for brunch. It's cold here with a trace of snow. I'm heading to the gym later and even later tonight I am picking my daughter up at the airport.

We are finally home from our holiday travels so I am doing laundry and taking down the Christmas decorations.

I cleaned out one room, took 2 days. Oh my goodness, I have bagged up clothes, books, nick knacks, just clutter. Had a lot of VHS' & no I am not a hoarder! Hauling it all to varies locations tomorrow to organizations that said they would take them. Except for the stuff that will go to the landfill. Oh goody, one more junk room to go. This happened-why?!

T I defrosted my freezer. I have to force myself to do things lately. No energy at all. Cold weather isn't helping.

I went to yoga, but there was no class because of the holiday.

I went to the library, but it was closed because of the holiday.

Now I'm going to stay home and read.

The weather has been beautiful the last two days, but cold at night. Now it is almost shirt sleeve weather out there, but it is supposed to turn very cold and rain or sleet. I dread it. It is very muddy here, especially around the barn. I don't do much in the winter....can't stand cold weather, but when I can, I am still working outside to further clean up debris left over from the hurricane.

I actually haven't been doing too much of anything lately. I just feel lazy I guess. I have done a few things in preparation for my grandson's upcoming birthday party.

Marilyn it is supposed to get to 20 in my area. Does the baby donkey have a place to be warm?

I started exercising and eating low carb, already feeling better than I was.

I had my last Christmas luncheon today....it was rescheduled from December because I was sick in Dec. Tomorrow I shall start taking down decorations.

Hibernating! We have had this cold for weeks..WC -25 again tonight and now ice and snow. DS came yesterday and shoveled snow off of walks and drive...now it is drifted full again. I put trash bags in my car this morning and took them to end of drive. I have read, put puzzle together, laundry, watched TV and IPad until my eyes hurt... but did get my pantry cleaned out. I would bake but would only end up eating it!

I will be baking GF orange cookies soon for friends and my family. I have to plant a round of kale in my raised beds.

i did heavily clean the kitchen, clean bookshelfs and have been watching TV as I'm still recovering from being sick.

Getting over the flu. Had to work sick because my boss will not let me call off without pressuring me to make sure I take no more than one day off a year. I finally feel a little better and washed all the linens and cleaned the house. Now DH is getting sick so I have set up the steam vaporizer for him and hopefully he feels better soon.

Elmer it is against policy and law. I document everything. Right now the perks of the job outweigh the negatives.

We are nearing the end of our third week in Thailand. The weather has been perfect and we are eating lots of delicious Thai food, although the other day I had one of the best pastrami sandwiches I've ever had the pleasure sinking my teeth into.

Yesterday we took the sky train to the Siam Paragon Mall and wandered around. Most of the stores are beyond my budget, such as Dior, Prada, Cartier, Celine, Coach, Armani, Jimmy Choo, etc., but it is fun to look. The basement floor of the mall contains a fabulous grocery that carries everything from Japanese Wagyu beef at around $100 per steak to Maine lobsters imported from the United States.

Next week, we will be leaving Bangkok and heading to Saigon, Vietnam for ten days.

There was a snowy owl spotted @ a nearby reservoir. We drove over to take a look. We met a lot of nice people. The owl shots weren't very good. She wasn't flying, sitting on tires. We were told the females don't become solid white. Link

Getting ready for classes. Spring semester starts tomorrow. Much less onerous schedule. Thus less pressure on the neuropathic feet.

Working a lot right now. We have a new exchange student. His host parents moved on him and so I agreed to take him in for the rest of the year. He's from Taiwan. Getting ready to take vacation in 2 1/2 weeks so all my days are crammed together, with only one day off in between a bunch in a row. Just before vacation I work 8 in a row. Lauren and I are going to Vegas to see George Strait in concert at the beginning of February. Then I thought I'd go up north to see my dad. He's 88 and just had a pacemaker placed after complaining of chest pain in the night to his doc. He's still in the hospital in Reno waiting for a rehab bed. He's actually doing really good, eating 3 meals a day in the hospital. He doesn't eat at home and had lost a lot of weight.

I’ve been trying to catch up on things. I can’t seem to get warmed up. The sunshine does help get me up and moving. I’d like to do some craft things but can’t get in the mood..

I am 66 years old and the other day when I was driving I saw a snowy owl in the ditch. I think this is the first time I have ever seen one. It was all white so it must have been a male. I am surprised I saw it because of all the snow in the ditches.
