What Have You All Been Doing Today?
Comments (12)Got off to a bad start this morning! Pattie43, I so empathize with you. I am not a morning person. Never was even when I was young and now that I'm old and decrepit, that is just the way it is. The maintenance man was across the street making some kind of noise at 7 o'clock this morning. That is very unusual and I chastised him for it. I had breakfast, checked out the TV news and fell back to sleep. I thought I had a Dr. appointment this afternoon, and realized around noon, that it is tomorrow, so that left my afternoon free. As I mentioned in another post I spent some time watching a building being demolished. Then I had dinner which was just left overs that I ate cold. Then I went out to the porch and a neighbor stopped by and brought me a dish of Hot Fruit Salad. I went across the street and talked to one neighbor for a few minutes, then stopped in at another neighbors and as I left she gave me a dish of a casserole she had made, and two beautiful local peaches. It was 9:30 by then so I watched the last half of Nancy Grace and snacked on blueberries and banana in Cool Whip. I've been on the computer since. So that is "A day in the life of ME." Good night. Comments (11)I had a busy morning for a Saturday. Georgysmom made me feel guilty posting everything she accomplished yesterday ;0 I scrubbed and baked those 3 huge baking potatoes I got at the store for .83 and when they cool, I'll make twice baked potatoes and freeze all but one, which we'll have tonight. Did two loads of laundry and changed our sheets. Then I took everything out of my spice/baking cabinet and washed all the shelves and--now get this--arranged all my spices in alphabetical order. Isn't that OCD? I bought a thing called a Spice Stack. It is a metal box with 3 shelves that pull out and down so you can see the spices. Each shelf holds 9 jars, or double the amount of those little jars. It's really cool. So no more rummaging around and taking 15 jars out just to find the one I'm looking for. I was surprised I only had doubles of 3 spices. That was pretty nice so I cleaned the pantry, too. Oh, Phyllis, I wish you hadn't mentioned the "G" word (garage). Ours is a disaster. Marie-ndcal, did you flood again? Didn't you have bad flooding this spring, too? Bless your heart, you have every right to feel bad, but wish you felt better....See MoreWhat Have You All Been Doing This Week?
Comments (17)Poor Carol--I had that the first part of the month and I hate to tell you but it lasted for what seemed like forever. Then Harry got it :( That coughing was terrible. I've been making endless lists and firming up the TG menu. Today we did all the grocery shopping and found room for all the extra stuff holidays call for. Glad that's over. Other than that it's just the ususal cleaning, laundry, bill paying and meal fixing. Can't wait to see my "baby" grandson for Thanksgiving--yeah, right. He's 14 and 5'll". But he's still my baby!...See MoreWhat Are You Doing Lately?
Comments (14)I'm waiting for things to dry up a bit more, then maybe I can think about starting on my yard. I leave a little "trash" over my flower beds, helps keep the critters from making a toilet out of them over the winter. Made a quick check this weekend of calving supplies, every thing looks good there, at least until we start calving and then you really find out what kind of shape you are in. This weekend, we had family over for Chinese food dinner and watched the Flames kick the $h???p out of the Maple Leafs, watched the Flames again last night play a hard fought game against Colorado, and the Womens World Curling Championships from Japan. Got the ironing caught up, and did some crocheting (while watching hockey). Marilyn, I hope your husband keeps improving. ((hugs)) to you and him....See More
