Comments (2)Thanks so much for the info. We are doing a major remodel and adding on so there is much to think about. These look very interesting. I have not idea of lighting costs but know they will be a major number....See MoreHelp me dress up my bedroom
Comments (9)Maybe it's a trick of the photo but my first impression was that the pendant light is in a strange location. It's not over the bed, is it -- or is it? It's hard to tell, exactly. It looks as if it is next to the bed, in a spot where someone could easily walk right into it and bang their head. If that is the case, I would either rearrange the furniture so the fixture is centered over the bed, or get a new flush-mount fixture. Sorry -- I do actually like the fixture but the placement, if I'm seeing it correctly, doesn't make sense to me. I would take down the two framed photos that are over the bed and put them elsewhere -- maybe on either side of the mirror. Then get something larger for over the bed. Maybe a print that brings in the nice red-orange color from your pillows. I agree that a rug next to the bed would warm up the space. Otherwise, very nice job!...See Moreconsole table vs dresser for master bedroom?
Comments (7)By all means don't get a dresser if you have no need for it. I've noticed a trend with newer housing to have a large closet that is fitted out with shelves and drawers and such so that it will hold all the clothes. If you've got a closet like that a) you have the closet of my dreams and b) you don't need a dresser. So look into a console table or TV stand that will fit your decor and make you happy. If, once it is in place, you feel the room is too empty, you can add a comfy chair or a large plant or just about anything else you want....See MoreLooking for Blue and White Something for Bedroom Wall
Comments (56)He is doing better, we are eight days out from surgery and he needs the walker less than he did. Back to the dr tomorrow, and another surgery in a couple of weeks. If I take the time to stop and think about it all, these last 18 months have been really terrible, and the year before that wasn’t much better. But it’s funny, you know? We have still lived our lives, bought a new house, sold our old one, sold our office building, MOVED, bought a car, switched all our insurance.....so many of the everyday things compressed in between DHs surgeries. And when I say “we” did it I really mean I did. I’m not complaining—I’m grateful—but just feel the enormity of what has happened and been done over the past few years. It’s little wonder I sometimes forget to take my pills at night. But we are here and all mostly in one piece and surviving just like everybody else. For a long time I could not even have imagined i would be at a point at which I could worry about finding something for a bedroom wall. Sometimes thinking about the small things makes you realize how many big things you have had to manage to get there. Thank you all very much for your concern, I appreciate it and all of you....See MoreTina Ri
