If I were you, I'd save the document into your own documents. It'll be there until you delete it.

Open up the document, go to >File >Save as > Libraries/Documents. Rename it if you need to so you'll be able to find it again.

You can create folders in Gmail and label them so you know what is in them. Then any important things related to this you can move into the folder in Gmail and also know where it is. I would do that as a backup if you do copy it to your hard drive. That way if you have a failure in the hard drive you still have it in Gmail on their servers. I have several folders in my email accounts.

Google support is a great resource just search there and you will find everything you need.

The All Mail label is added to every message. If a message has been archived, you can find it by opening the All Mail label.

1. On your computer, open Gmail.
2. On the left side of the page, hover your mouse over the label list.
3. At the bottom of the list, click More. You may need to scroll down to see it.
4. Click All Mail.

My experience with gmail and yahoo mail is that messages are kept forever. Since storage space for free accounts is limited, it's a good idea to 1) keep garbage ads and other marketing stuff out of your main, "real" email account, and 2) delete unimportant messages as received or at least every few months.

If you want to keep something in the body of an email and want to find it easily, you can copy the text, paste it into a word processing program's file, and save that file on your PC. You can also print it to keep it. Documents or other attachments you want to keep, like photos, should be saved to a PC folder where other such data files are kept. If important, include them in your backup practices.

I'm not an email folder user, it takes more time than I like to spend on something that may or may not be useful at a later date. When looking for a particular message, I find doing a key word search is usually successful and quick.

I use gmail. I also use a smartphone only. My problem is if someone sends me mail by using **reply** I can see I received something but I can't read it unless I hit reply and send than I can read the others mail. I can't figure it out butvi am a dummy with this stuff. Anyone know what could be wrong?
