Recommendations on 30" slide in range induction top & duo oven

Hello. In the process of searching for and deciding upon a 30" slide in range with induction top and double oven range. In search of comments from anyone who has performed the same search, were models below looked at, which one decided upon and why, would you recommend to a friend, would you have gotten something else, and any other helpful information.

All three receive good ratings, of course, on the manufacturers websites. Samsung unit is recommended by Consumer Reports(CR). On amazon 5 star reviews were at 39% and 1 star reviews at 22%. Brand reliability based on user reviews on CR has GE being the best and KitchenAid being the worst with reliability.

I would not get a Samsung, based on what I've heard and read about their reliability and repair issues. Of the other two, the KitchenAid you've linked to is not a slide in model (actually a free-standing model), but that's a design issue that might not matter to you.

One of the things I don't like for myself is the arrangement of "burners" on the GE -- I prefer larger pots at the back and smaller ones near the front. It might be different for others, of course. Still, I prefer the look of a slide in (controls on the front) and I like the linked elements; also, the GE elements are a little more powerful (eg broil). I'd go with the GE if you're looking for a dual oven induction range.

After looking at/reading a lot of reviews, I ended up with the Samsung. I didn’t consider kitchen aid since I had very poor performance and customer service on my previous kitchen aid. I didn’t like this particular ge, and reviews weren’t quite as good. In the end I was down to Bosch and Samsung, and ended up with Samsung because it had more features and was highly rated. So far I’m happy with my choice.

You may think that's the worst of it. But wait there's more. You can clean up the induction cook surface with a microfiber cloth and some glass cleaner in one quick wipe and be out in the sunshine. For ceran everything is baked and ground into the surface in a deposition of mineral residue. This stuff is always there unless you want to spend a lot of vacation time removing it. The best stuff is Cif from the UK and or single edged razor blades. Like going through an oven cleaning every day to be redone the next day and the next. The level of effort required makes this among the most arduous household tasks requiring repeated intervention.

Hi, so good to hear no one was hurt! How scary! Anyhow, I can't answer exactly as to the question you asked, but I do have a slide in (gas though) by Frigidaire (which is a division of Electrolux I think), with electric oven, and I just can't get over how fast the oven pre-heats. I have to change my normal procedure of turning oven on as I prepare meals, and have to turn it on much later. It is also convection, which I also like. Also, do your parents have a toaster oven? As empty nesters, we use ours way more than the actual oven, and I've converted my Mom too.

I am considering this Samsung model #NE58F9710WS. It's the one that is a double oven with one door, but has a divider on the inside of the oven. It also has a warming drawer at the bottom. I've never considered this model until I had a salesman, who owns one, told me how it works. Each section of the oven has a controller where you can set different temperatures or you can heat only 1/2 of it. Both are convection. The only time you would take the divider out is if you were baking something large, like a turkey. I'm getting ready to remodel my kitchen and I'm also thinking about a Samsung refrigerator. I haven't ordered yet, but I'm seriously thinking about it. I would love to hear other opinions on Samsung appliances. There are a number of induction threads if you do a search for the word, they should pop up. I traded my electric for a Samsung Chef induction double oven with warming drawer. The drawer is really low and since it's just DH and me, we don't turn it on and use it for storage. I think it bakes unevenly, although it has two baking "modes" and although we use the small top oven, which fits a smaller roasting pan, we rarely need both ovens. It is convertible to one oven. But I would never go back to an electric top over an induction. Never. As I said in another thread, I've actually been using a Tovala counter top combi-steam oven because I love the way it cooks but it is a one or two person appliance.
