Engineered hardwood vs. Evoke VCC... for kids and dog

Christine Wilson

With three kids and a dog, looking to install throughout new construction. Obviously want it to look and feel great, but don't want to be fussy as far as taking care of the floors. If we go with engineered hardwood, we'll tile the laundry room and bathrooms. If we go with the VCC, we would do it throughout the house.

Which will hold up better, look nicer in a few years? Salesman is telling us VCC in indestructible, but the limited lifetime warranty doesn't cover scratches from pebbles, sand or pets. Salesman also tells us that we can steam mop, but mfr website care info says not to. Anyone have experience with Evoke VCC? Looking at "luke vital oak". Thanks!
