tell me if you think this is a blight disease on my peony
Comments (10)Well after all that, spoke to the nursery and they had me dig it up and dump it in a bag to keep from spreading disease. very sad. :( I feel that I caused it b/c I didn't plant for several weeks in the horrid humidity... now I need to research what I can do to the soil area that it was in to keep from contaminating other plants?...See MorePlease tell me what you think of my new rug. Comments (57)Elena, I just love your room! It's exotic and has passion and soul. It's marvelous. Here is a torchiere I like better for you. Or perhaps you like this one? Of coures this floor lamp would be yummy. If I had the money I'd get this one. I've always loved these. If you have a base for it (thrift store?) this handmade lampshade would be yummy on a floor lamp. I have a lampshade from this lady (even though I know how to make my own, so you know I really wanted it) and her quality is great -- I love mine. You could do a pair of these on your table lamps. Or, maybe you like this brown one? This red one is a lot like the one I bought. It sure is fun spending someone else's money! hehe I should stop. I have no idea if you'd like any of these. If you do, there are always more like this on eBay... be sure to look in people's shops for more styles....See MoreLR Part IV: What do you think of new rug? Paint suggestions?
Comments (10)Wow, what a difference! Pretty rug and nice improvement; the furniture went from red to caramel! Will leave color discussion to the pros, but even the current color looks better with that new rug!...See MoreTell me what you think of my dinning/living room! Pic
Comments (28)I have very large windows and have hung drapery just to frame the window. Used a decorative rod (make sure you get one long enough) which has a middle support. I don't think it will look odd. Do you really need to keep the mini blinds for privacy? I think that they along with not enough material on either end, may be giving the long feeling between the drapes. ` Being white, long thin slats, and drapes so much darker? I think if you want blinds for that window, it may be better to go with a bigger slat blind. JCP often run sales on all of their window treatments. Perhaps you could use 3 sets, I think there are 3 windows comprised into that larger window over the sofa? Mixing holiday decs - not a fan, but if it makes you happy, I think you should do it seeing as it is your home. Also, do think your green is too minty (could be my monitor?). If you want retro, the avacado color posted is a great option. While I hate to paint, it is said it is the easiest thing to change (next to your mind, lol). I like your DR, but I would choose one of either the mad hatter mirror or the metal piece. Seems like they are competing and neither are winning when hung together. Oh, and can you send me the green glass piece on your coffee table, lol. Love it....See MoreAnglophilia
