My parents like outdoor gardening but hate house plants, I don't know why. They have a really amazing garden too, but just can't handle house plants! I haven't gone crazy with houseplants yet, a Sans on our desk, a few succulents in the window, and about 4 tropicals scattered downstairs. So far my fiance is glad I have found a hobby to put my extra time into (and he is REALLY excited for tomatoes this summer lol) though he doesn't get it. I like the "feeling" it gives the house and I feel like it makes the house healthier. I know he is afraid that I'll become one of the people on here that have 300 plants in their house LOL! I brought home a palm (that I ended up returning for something else) and I could tell he hated it "It's really.....big" but didn't know how to tell me without crushing my dreams LOL

Well, I will have to eat my words a bit here to about dealing with Hortico. They have stepped up to the plate. I have now heard from H's general manager and he has promised to have one of his office ladies go to work and figure out just what is what with my backorders, replacements, etc....I can't ask for any better than that. That was promised very quickly after an e-mail directly to him explaining my frustrations of feeling dismissed by the office staff. They are trying to make the situation right. That is what customer service is all about. Not every transaction is going to be perfect especially when dealing with living things such as our roses. They are at the mercy of many outside forces that we probably wouldn't understand without walking a mile in their shoes. Nobody can deny that their customer service has seriously improved in recent years. Also, I do appreciate that they have whittled down their lists to hopefully have a better chance at completely filling our orders from their listed availability. Still, they do have the biggest and best selection in the world. I have always said that about them. They are the only source for many roses. John

There was snow in Gorman/Frasier Park area last night at about 4400 feet. It's been very windy in areas in socal also. They said 68 for the valleys which for me means 72. Definately not beach weather but I am enjoying the cool days.

It about that time to see if I won the trivia contest and you are not here. I know that, but am feeling a bit scared for you right now. I like what Kat_wa said "I hope that rock moves easily." I just feel like crying for you right now. Hope something positive comes your way today. Whatever it is you need surely there is a beginning to solve your problem right around the corner.
