Bathroom mirror size over double vanity - single or double?
Comments (10)I prefer two mirrors as well because I think it gives a more balanced look and it provides defined spaces, his and hers in our case. Your statement about wanting to make it so that 3 people can use it is what has me curious though, is this a what if type scenario or is a 3rd person actually going to be in there all the time? The reason I ask is because DH and I used to make choices based on the what if's a lot. We'd spend the money or compromise on what we really wanted only to never have those "what if's" materialize. We bought a crew cab truck so if we needed to we could tote people but never once did anyone sit back there. We turned a room (that could have been my craft room) in to a guest room and in 10 years it's only been used a handful of times and an air mattress would have worked just as well. So if you want the big mirror because it will actually be used in the context you're planning for, great...then there's a need and that would be the more functional choice for your situation, but if you're just thinking well maybe 3 people might need it, then don't focus on that and do what is more practical for your every day living. KWIM? (And Ida is right, about the two lights)...See MoreMaster bath double vanity - Storage tower or One large mirror
Comments (23)Hello everyone I am so sorry for the late response. My little one got sick .. Thanks for all of your suggestions and comments! I truly appreciate them! I understand that what I would like to have is not going to fit in the current vanity layout we have right now. There is no time for us to change the layout now. They have started installing granite and we want them to meet the deadline to finish the house or we will be left without a place to stay! So we have decided to go with the single mirror for now. There is no point now in worrying over not having extra storage that we may or may not need in the vanity in the future. If after living in the house for couple of months we feel like we need extra vanity storage, I will add extra storage under the makeup area or in the master closet. But I will for sure replace this vanity sometime in the future with a more useful one :) Sophie Wheeler we live in Northern Louisiana. I looked up the guidelines you are talking about. I wish we knew about these before. But are they firm rules or just guidelines? The builder already sold a house with a similar layout last year so I am assuming he had the same vanity there and it passed inspection. I do not know for sure but why would anyone build something knowing it will fail inspection? :/...See MoreHelp with double vanity mirror sizes
Comments (3)You're lucky to find sconces that only are only 1.5" wide. We have a 72" double sink vanity wall to wall, with sconce>mirror>sconce>sconce>mirror>sconce. Our 2 mirrored medicine cabinets are each 21.25" wide centered over 17" wide Caxton sinks and our sconces round bases are 5" wide, so it sounds like reducing your cabinets to 24" would be fine....See MorePlease help - what mirrors/lights w/74" double vanity?
Comments (22)if everyone that uses the mirror is approximately the same height, that would make choosing mirrors that showcase your new tile easier. If you have two mirrors the size shown, you could reuse them, hanging them horizontally, with or without frames. If you want the overhead boxes and light gone but do not have enough tile for that part of the wall, you might consider covering the area with paneling into which you can recess new LED light fixtures or against which you can attach your new light fixture -- or both. I'd want more recessed lights than this one but also like the idea of a second light fixture on a separate switch outside the box in which the recessed lights are installed that could light the entire room. https://www.wayfair.com/Winston-Porter--Whelan-5Light-Dimmable-Vanity-Light-X111249349-L6116-K~W000138238.html?refid=GX433803226217-W000138238_1811975260&device=c&ptid=903084850761&network=g&targetid=pla-903084850761&channel=GooglePLA&ireid=64738416&fdid=1817&PiID%5B%5D=1811975260&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI3NDB0few7wIV__DjBx0YXgrfEAQYBCABEgKfv_D_BwE...See Morearcy_gw
