Comments (24)Here are your three stars, Laura and TN! Also, yes, Eisenhower signed the name change into law. The U.S. Postal Service is indeed the largest employer of veterans. BTW, California has the greatest number of living vets in the states followed by Florida and Texas. 1. Kris Kristofferson E 2. Drew Carey L 3. Tony Bennett K 4. James Earl Jones B 5. Mel Brooks G 6. Alan Alda D 7. Bill Cosby A 8. MC Hammer C 9. Montel Williams F Julia Child J Steve McQueen-H Thanks for playing everyone. I enjoyed researching this topic and learning stories about the service of these folks. Of course, there are so many more I could have included, but those may have to wait until next year. Promise to find some Canadians next year too!...See Moreremembrance day, canada
Comments (6)It's wonderful to see so many tributes these days. It hasn't always been like that. My DH and I live with a 90-yr-old survivor of the war and a man who has led a good, kind, thoughful life, his wife now gone. (He was part of the mobile training unit that trained the P38 pilots.) He landed at Normandy but two days after the worst of it and has considered himself so blessed all these years. We know we won't have him with us forever but we're so blessed ourselves to be a part of his life. I needed to park the car within a taped off area one day and asked the policeman if I could get to the handicapped spot without inconveniencing them. He asked if Uncle was a WWII vet, and I said yes. Then he moved things and said the WWII vets can have any space they want. What love. My best wishes to all your service family members, of any branch, in or out of fighting situations. I'm grateful to all for their sacrifices. Linda...See MoreRemembrance Day
