Not really, I had really wanted to put the white chest in another room and put a chair in that corner, but I can't do it for now.

I agree..the smaller chest seems one piece too much than the room can take. Maybe:

-Home Interior's suggestion?

-or: is it enough clearance to put it between two doors? will still be too much if you ask me but at least spreaded out

--or: is it enough clearance to use it instead of the nightstand?

-or: can it go into a different room/a closet?

pretty room, but won't feel right until you have all the perimeter filled with similar furniture. Small chair would look naturally in that corner. Two dresser together on an angle like that-a problem. You know better your needs and room's dimensions..what's the best way to solve it?

Regarding other questions:

-cutrains-I'd prefer color of the linen. can have some detailing..a subtle pattern? touch of darker color?..a stripe?..can be ivory or color of linen as in fabric..can be light tan..lots of pretty curtains out there. Plain linen will look great as well.

The room looks very nicely tailored..curtains should support it whether plain or more elaborate. You raised your bar high:)

-frankly the pictures don't seem awkward to me. You might want to lower them though. Or maybe you just don't like them in that corner? it happens that artwork kinda "wants" to be somewhere or doesn't. If they annoy you-take them off, leave the corner bare for some time. Think what you'd like to see there..

Same advice applies to the space between the doors. One can say: four prints put as a square together. Or: something rectangular. But these are very general answers. What do you like? Prints, vintage posters maybe, drawings, paintings, photography?..

I can never bring myself to cut a book; but even some beautiful framed illustrations can make one's heart beat faster. Sometimes one can find these on flea markets and such. Lots of very interesting artwork, in general, can be found there. There are many great websites that sell art, between other things, or are dedicated to it. Tell us if you need specifics..

-there are many lighting fixtures that'd work. I suggest: look at many. Figure out what you like the most. (usually takes some time, especially if you love many styles..)). Know what diameter you're looking for, and what's the fixture maximal height(diameter will be dictated by the room dimensions..height, by ceiling height..if I'm putting it briefly). These are your main restictions. Otherwise, have fun choosing:)

Agree the white dresser needs to go, into storage if nowhere else. If you're looking for warmth, add color and texture. A window treatment would help. You have a good instinct- I would remove the two pictures and add seating to that corner with a cozy throw blanket. If you hang a mirror over the beds will it reflect into the mirror over the dresser? Wouldn't like that. Is the bed by the window close to the wall? I would pull the beds closer together and move them away from the wall so you can walk around botth sides.

I would keep the white dresser/chest and put it between the beds on the window wall and remove the oversized black dresser..than you will have space around both beds rather than one against the side wall...hard to make the bed!

I would add drapes that match the headboard and add the gold framed art you have over each bed..I think if you move the beds you could add small ottoman stools at the end of each bed..so nice for putting on shoes!

i love layering neutral tones with a monochromatic style...I would add a large gold framed mirror on the wall between the doors..it can be full length for getting dressed.

I appreciate your responses. I really love the idea to put a chair in place of the white dresser. Although, I will have to find another place to put it in my home. I measured for all the other suggestions, but they would not work. The white chest doesn't have enough clearance if it were to be placed between the doors. I would need to take the large dresser out of the room if I were to turn the beds, which doesn't work for me.

I also really like the idea of adding a full length mirror between the doors. Would it be too many mirrors, if I add a sunburst mirror between the beds(I would hang it high enough that it doesn't reflect the dresser mirror) and a full length mirror?

Either place the medium chest between the two beds, or place the beds on the window wall. See layouts and colors shown below in images. You could add shiplap to the room.

You don't need any mirrors over/near the beds. With the current configuration it would only reflect back the other mirror--and no one could "use" a mirror placed where you are debating. Love your headboards. Maybe it would help to know if this is a guest room a child's room what is its purpose? I would agree the white chest is one too many, particularly if it isn't' being used. I am not a fan if roman shades but with your bed configuration that would give you some texture/pattern and not interfere with the bed. Your room offered you a lot of challenges, doors,window off center, vaulted ceiling. You did well with it.

Is there enough room for the white dresser to go between the beds?

I agree with everyone else. The white chest is crippling you. The bed shoved up against the window wall looks soooo awkward with the white chest right there.

Remove the chest and then evaluate.

I also agree that you have the beginnings of a very nice room. Here’s another idea: you have a lot of monochromism going on, which I like, but how about introducing a bit of a strong color? Maybe navy or a deep green for a few pillows, a cozy throw, a painting?

I am curious to know if this is a guest room or your bedroom. The white chest has to go IMO either way. I would add some art above the headboards. I don’t think there is a space for a chair with this layout. I would remove the blinds from the window or at least the weird way of them hanging.and add drapes .Another piec of art between the doors and a lamp that has 2 heads to serve both beds

The white chest would not fit between the beds. As it is now there is about 3 feet between the bed and the wall with the closet and the bathroom. I could move the bed away from the wall a few inches but not more. The only option I have now is to move the white chest out of the room.

Can you provide us with the room measurements?

I would move the bed away from the wall as much as you can...take out white chest...keep black dresser....push dresser down towards window and add a small chair next to it on the opposite side at an angle....add a full view mirror between doors for viewing when getting dressed....Add art over beds not starburst mirror....

Something like this would be beautiful over each bed...several designs to pick from.

White chest needs to go, it doesn't fit space or style. Your other furniture definitely has an Art Deco /Hollywood Regency influence to it.

I think moving the bed down a bit so that the other one isn't against the wall is really the best bet.

Add a roman shade in the window the color of the bed. A chair in the corner. A large canvas print or framed picture between the doors. If a chair doesnt fit I think iron style benches in front of each bed could work

I do believe touches Art Deco/ Hollywood Regency here and there will help the other pieces fit in.

Heres another way you could warm the room up. If you can paint the walls Maybe match the color of the bed skirts.

Consider a warm and unexpected color on the walls:

Definitely and accent wall and carry the color on the face of the soffit, get ride of the rug and install dark wood floors.

lighting : install some 3" recessed lighting.

Since you cannot move the casegoods at this time, I suggest they stand next to each other for now, and the valet moves elsewhere. I would personally paint out the pale dresser, but at the very least I suggest you join up the tops (fabric under glass hack )and get matching knobs and tall mirrors for both.

Look for a reed or pattern shade and burlap coloured drapery to be hung high at the windows. (Be aware that if you do not adjust the dresser, you can not hang drapes). Move the beds over a few inches to make room for the draperies. Add a darker print pillow in chocolate brown to each bed, and a more substantial lamp. I suggest something round or oval hung above each bed, either framed in a deep shade, or hung with dark ribbon. These changes will give more depth to your palette, and help balance tones better throughout. If you wish to take it a step further, also look for high loft throws for the end of each bed. Pretty room. Two things I'd suggest...

(1) An accent or two with black-- curtains with black trim, black frames, etc. I think it would be a good way to tie in the black of the dresser and stand between the beds.

(2) Addition of ambient lighting-- I'm not a huge fan of overhead lighting at night unless it's task lighting. You could add either some sconces over the beds or if you are able to move the beds over, to the side of each one. Add a small lamp to the dresser, too. Lighting is magical.

Just my two cents....I guess the white chest needs to go....BUT, is there any way that you can paint the chest and get new knobs to match the big dresser that you have? And if you move the valet and push your big dresser toward the area where the valet was, would you have enough room for the dresser and used-to-be white chest side by side? It looks like the legs are similar and they seem to be the same height...you could decorate them as one long unit....leave mirror, put some pictures to the left over the used-to-be white chest and a pair of lamps, plant or whatever on your combination dressers.

Sorry, studio10001...guess I didn't read all of the suggestions. I like your idea of putting something long...fabric, glass, etc. on both dressers to tie them together.
