There are few things as cozy as snuggling up in a warm, comfortable bed during the cooler seasons. Depending on your climate, this may mean unearthing that heavy, age-old quilt from storage, or adding a cuddly extra blanket. Regardless of your cool-weather needs, the time is upon us to winterize our bedrooms. Here's how to get a head start for creating a warm, chic bedroom that will prove the perfect respite from the chilly outdoors.

You can't beat a quilt for warmth in the cooler months. Choose a patchwork one with loads of color and fold it at the end of your bed when not in use.

I like to move the bed in the winter away from the windows. The headboard should be on a solid wall....nothing worse than feeling any bit of cold on your head while trying to sleep. Alot of these pictures have the bed right at the windows...
