In the aria the high priestess is telling Giulia to reject love because it causes nothing but suffering and will lead one straight to hell. I think I need to listen to something more upbeat. Lol

Recently it has been the 'do re mi' song from The Sound of Music. It has been running through my head for long periods daily.

I have Glen Campbell & Steve Wariner singing "Hand that Rocks The Cradle" running through my head since hearing it yesterday. robb333- a friend of mine who liked my brother in high school used to sing that song. She is still a good friend of mine even though my brother didn't return her feeling! :)

Without fail, any song running through my head is there because something in the lyrics relates to what I'm thinking about or are concerned about--subconsciously or otherwise. This morning it's Paul Simon's "Slip Sliding Away." I like Paul Simon, but this is not one of my favorite songs by him. I don't know why it's in my head, but I can probably figure it out. It might have something to do with my current fears about nuclear war.

Sure. Yesterday I heard one line of Wayne Newton singing "Daddy don't you walk so fast" and it's been in my head ever since.

I still can't get "Bohemian Rhapsody" out of my head, although it's slowly being replaced by "We'll Meet Again" from "Dr. Strangelove".

It's definitely Glen Campbell week. I went to bed with "Rhinestone Cowboy" and woke up with it this morning.

I had talked to an old Texan friend; then got to thinking about Texas and all the fun I had there, and the 1970s, and have just been on a nostalgic journey in my mind.

There is a commercial on tv that they sing Bushel and a Peck (very old song) and its been going through my head for days.
