I got a new toy..

an iPod! I know...no big deal for most of you, but something new for me and I love it. Time on the elliptical at the gym goes much quicker with good music in your head!

I run with mine. Charmed Life by the Rolling stones and before he Cheats by Carrie Underwood.....Whooooooooooooo! Gets my feet stomping that pavement!!!! :0)

Well that was a dud deal. Turns out it had more hours than what was advertised. He had paperwork saying a brand new engine was installed at the 1960 mark and is why i was told 40hrs. The meter had nearly 2000 hrs on it. In anycase i didnt buy it dealer said not to. So back to the drawing board.. Oops sorry I just seen this. Sorry it did not work out, but I knew something was wrong, as a good used one should be more like $15,000 to $18,000

I love those! Right after attempting my first project using pins, I stole the magnet wand from my son's toybox. I keep it by the machine, and as I pull the pins out of the fabric, I practically "toss" them to my side and on to the magnet. I don't even have to look where I'm tossing. (Though maybe I should look every now and then.) I want to get one of those big magnet pincushions. But they are 12 bucks here. And stealing my son's toy was free. :-) francy

I couldn't work out without my music. Did 5.5 miles tonight choosing to go through my songs by album, which I've never done before. I skipped over anything too slow.

I like mine too. I have a cheap mp3 player for exercising and an iTouch that I have apps and games on along with music and pictures.

I bought an eliptical machine today with an Ipod plug in and speakers. DH is assembling it as we speak. I can't wait to use it tomorrow.

Good for you!

An iPod came with my computer and I didn't think I'd use it. Wrong! I have put most of my CDs on it, plus some downloads. It's a great toy.

I don't own one. DS has a sony walkman brand MP3 player. Likes it way better than the IPOD. It can hold close to 100000 songs, can play video if he wants it to, is WAY SMALLER and easier to use when working out, likes the FM tuner and it was a lot LESS Expensive than the ipod.

Yay! I have just a cheap MP3 player but I adore mine. I used to carry a walkman, remember those? Then I got a portable cd player and now this little thing. What I love is how it just tucks into a pocket and off you go. Congrats on your new toy! Anything that gets us all up and moving is aces in my book.

Wes has one; a mega 64-something, it-does-everything model. He downloads a lot of pod-casts on hunting dogs, training hunting dogs, fishing, and hunting, etc. He's also taking "Speak German" iPod lessons. He has all our photos and music in it.

I got him a Bose docking station/speakers. It sounds awesome. He downloads the Prairie Home Companion pod cast each week and we listen to it in the den.

I want one of my own. I would put my every-growing collection of audio books in it. I'd get a small docking station so I could carry it around the house and out to the garden as I do chores and "stuff." I listen to the audio books this way now, but I have to carry the bigger CD player and keep changing the discs.

I don't like wearing ear buds.

I want an iPod, or an iPad.

I found that sometimes a podcast works great if you're just on the treadmill walking. It really makes the time fly! And there are so many to choose from over on iTunes (for free).

I don't like earbuds, either--they don't feel good and they don't stay in. I bought over-the-ear earpieces--little 'buds' still go in the eardrum, but they're much more comfortable. Try to find the ones that have just a slim wire piece that goes over the ear. Some of the others have a thicker plastic piece that's just too bulky.

I use the over-the-ear type of ear pieces as well. Their much more comfortable, and they never fall off. I also use my iPod in the car- I listen to podcasts and my favourite music while I'm driving.

The start of an addiction! Started with an MP3, then classic iPod, progressed to iTouch and am now at the iPad stage.
