Really need help picking a pink for teen bedroom
Comments (17)beache - I suspected the slipper color would be too pale, but it is sophisticated imo. Well, since she knows what she doesn't want (half the battle), cruise through the gallery with her as oceanna suggested, then take that girl to the paint store to look at samples! It's great that you are allowing the vision in her head to become reality. In my response above, I sat here and deabated with myself whether the correct term was pointe shoes or toe shoes. Now I know!!!! LOL. My daughter was a little ballerina and injured herself just before going on pointe. That pretty much took care of ballet for her future. She is 22 now and we still love watching ballet together. :) She will always love pink, too....See MoreTeen Girl Bedroom
Comments (33)Holy Cow, that Rate my Space room turned out beautiful. Almost better than Miley's. Thanks for that link. I did find tons of links about her bedroom as it looks to be quite the popular room right now for tweens. There is a company in the UK that sells the circle decals but I'm not sure about ordering from the UK. Painting them like they did in the RMS room is a good idea too but they did theirs freeform...don't know if I have that steady of a hand. I'll have to fly my Dad out who's a painter. LOL! klb, you'll have to share how yours turns out. We are still in the furniture ordering stage so ours will be a few months. I'd love to compare notes! Thanks for posting that link in the first place. DD is in love with that room. Here is a link that might be useful: Clear circles from a company in the UK...See MoreNeed help for teen boy's bedroom!
Comments (3)I don't have specific color suggestion. I'd just pull a few you are ok with and then let him choose the specific one from there. I don't think it will look depressing. Dark, yes, but if it's his room, no biggie. That ceiling will seem very short though painted that dark. I'd do baseboards gray or black. If you do a traditional white it's not going to look right. I think it's great of you to let your kid be so expressive....See MoreBedroom help needed for 10-year-old girl
Comments (47)My inclination would be to paint the walls bright white and let the rest of the accents be the color players. White is the backdrop I've often seen, or been drawn to, when I look up bohemian pictures. I'd also put a really large area rug in the room that only left a few inches of bare floor around the perimeter of the room. This way, no matter which way the room is arranged, the rug is always the right size. If your daughter is anything like I was, the room will be rearranged many times during her teen years! : ) You could still layer her little rug over the large rug for her reading nook. You might like to plug the room into homestyler.com for working on the layout. Your kitties might be disappointed, but muscles with thank you. : ) If you save a snapshot of the homestyler layout to your computer, you can upload it onto here using the photo link. That would allow us to see the plan overview, and will make it easier for us to help with the arrangement....See MoreLynnNM
