Need help to remedy ugly edge of hardwood under baseboard heater

There was an extra underlayment which had to be removed when hardwood flooring was installed. They didn't get it all under the heater and just cut it back. It really looks bad and rough where the hardwood butts up against because the heater cover doesn't cover all that up (hardwood thinner than carpet that was removed, especially with the underlayment removed.) Can anyone come up with ideas to hide the mess?
