How would you paint this bathroom?
Comments (5)Yes, this is the tile color: And this is a picture of the border: This bathroom is in a house we are planning to sell. My husband would have me paint every room white or builder beige but I like to add a little color. I want to stay neutral though. I am thinking of using one of the colors in the border then painting the ceiling (and the left wall) a shade lighter. Of course painting everything the same color means no cutting in :)...See MoreHelp - Paint or Spray Bathroom Cabinets? And Which Paint to Use?
Comments (8)If you like BM, then use their Advanced paint - it's water based and levels beautifully. I used CabinetCoat as my primer and Advanced as my regular paint on my kitchen cabinets over five years ago and they still look great. I have literally scraped dried food off my cabinets (who knows old long it was there lol) and the paint has never chipped. I did sand and prime (prep work is important). If you're hiring a "pro" he should know what he's doing... No guarantees lol but he should be able to paint.. When I tackled my kitchen cabinets I hadn't painted since 6th grade... and everything turned out fine. I used quality paint, nice brushes and took my time....See MoreWhat color would you paint the bathroom?
Comments (12)I think that's going to be a lot more PURPLE on the wall that you're probably expecting. I do like the idea--just with a lot more gray. My husband is the opposite. He doesn't even notice colors. We once had a fight when I asked him to take something to the "blue bathroom" and he thought I was ridiculous to expect him to know which bathroom that was and that I was trying to pull some kind off fast one by referring to it as such. At the time we were in a 60s house with all original bathrooms. The whole bathrooms all had floor and wall tile (4x4 tile wainscoting to 4') that were one color with the walls above the tile and even ceiling painted the same color--because what a room with smurf blue everywhere needs is more blue. One was mint green, one smurf blue, and one was buttercup yellow. And the sinks, toilets, shower/tub were also the same color as the tile. Most memorable retort: "The walls are blue! The ceiling is blue! The toilet is blue! Even the toilet paper holder is blue! How can you not know that bathroom is blue???" Nope. Didn't know and couldn't believe that it was normal to remember something like that....See MoreBathroom vanity update & bathroom cabinet painting
Comments (1)I would replace both counters and sinks. The sinks do not match so even if you do (sort of) match the brown counter they will not look like they go together....See MoreUser
