Looks like you have done a good job to start with. I would leave the upper cabinet with the doors and use for towel storage in a small bath. Would choose a richer deeper color in that sand color scheme-Copper, Cafe Latte, or t a shade lighter than the grout. There are also some new spray paint colors/finishes that are for patio furniture whichI saw on a HD trip, and they give a hammered finish. Maybe Pewter? Also RalphLauren has some metallic finish paints. But they are sold in larger cans and are pricey if this is for resale. Also, get two hooks for the side of cabinet . Clevergirl55

Because the vanity is sitting on a white base and because the sides of the vanity seem to be a little different color from the front, I'd be tempted to paint it and the storage cabinets a cream color similar to your trim. The cabinet color doesn't bother me but it might look more bathroomy if it were closer to white. Would your budget extend to replacing the almond vanity top? I'd be tempted to get a white top to match the toilet personally, or just one of those off the shelf white and stone tops from HD or similar. Pretty wall paint color! Is that the new or the old?

I wouldn't paint it. It works well with the tile. I'd also leave the cabinet. If you were going to remove it that should have happened before painting and extra storage is always a plus.

? Is your baseboard two different colors, it looks like the section by the door is tan and the rest is white. I would paint all the baseboard white, and paint the cabinets the same color white. If you can patch and paint behind the high cabinet after removing it, do so. Removing that cabinet will make the whole space look bigger. A couple floating shelves in that area would be perfect.

The wall color you chose complements the room nicely. But that floating cabinet looks goofy. Could you remove the stone top from the lower cabinet and then set the upper directly on top of the lower one so it looks like a tall cabinet? Maybe too much work if you are planning to list soon. Most people will just see it as nice cabinets (storage) and a stone top.

Because you are updating, I would paint the vanity because of the mismatched toe kick and replace the cultured marble top.

The vanity may be off the shelf from Lowe's but the 12" deep cabinets are probably special order and better quality. I'd keep them. Paint with a neutral (gray, cream or white) and replace the top like zmith said. Depending on the budget, go with cultured marble with a regular oval, not recessed oval bow. It gives you more counterspace. Or you can probably get a quartz or granite remnant with an undermount oval bowl. In my neck of the woods, the CM top would be $225-250 and quartz remnant would be about $425-450. You may be able to get something at a big box store for less but the quality would be different.

I wouldn't paint it unless it was ratty. It looks okay and unless you were getting a professional job (off-site painting of the doors, etc.) there's a good chance it'll look like someone tried to do a quick bathroom fix. From the images, if I were looking for a house, I'd see a nice clean bathroom. Exciting? No, but nice.

I don't think painting the vanity will do a darn thing for resale, and it's a lot of work so I don't think it's worth it.

I WOULD, however, think that the floating cabinet was great, because it is. Is it dated? I am disappointed that I missed the period when we had such practical things in our bathrooms. Update it by putting knobs on it. It's a good thing.

Looks like the floor molding goes around the vanity. That's weird but don't worry about it. Is the base molding tile on the other side? It probably makes more sense in person.

It's the new color, it was previously painted a dark beige olive green.

The baseboards are all cream, the part that looks tan is actually where they had the tile come up, they only did that in one spot. We were thinking about painting the trim and doors white vs cream. Any thoughts?

Just a personal opinion, it can of couse depend on where you are and the local real estate market, but I see a baby latch on the cabinet (I think) so assuming you have youngster(s), and with the stress of moving and children underfoot, I would not bother painting cabinets. They are a fine and nice wood tone that complements the warm colors in the room. On my screen, the walls look lavender or blue. I would paint them white or off-white, if anything, and put my energy into making the bathroom sparkling clean. You probably have enough on your plate, and folks looking at your home will peek in the bathroom door and probably not come into the bathroom all the way unless they need to use it. I would spend a little bit, only a little, on sprucing up the front of the house and public areas. Clean and neutral and non-personalized.

I wouldn't. The new people can paint it to their choice. They may even replace them. Why bother, it will look fine.

I'm with Yaya, no to painting, and keep the hanging cab as is. I might take a look at why the hanging cabinet is not flush to the wall and correct that. Otherwise, the bathroom looks fresh and clean, that's all you need.

What has been said already..the stain works with the existing tile, the cabs look being in a good condition, upper cabinet adds storage.

I think buyers want to see clean and functional, and you've got that. Leave them space for their decisions about colors, stains, mirrors, etc..if this mirror never bothered you beforehand-most likely it wont't bother the buyers, not when they decide in general whether it's a house for them or not.

I'd style it all nicely, add a plant, nice towels (which I'm sure are already in your plan), call it a day.

Many people are like me-they need it lovable and livable..if they'd rather have something changed they'd like to do it themselves when they have time and money (except for when it's something very not interesting but much needed like insulation and stuff..all the hidden mechanics of the house)

Now, you can also know that you plan to list soon but in fact will take some time..that's something different then. That's how we ended up living with better bathroom tiles for three years..:) were going to list and then it happened differently. And it was very nice living with new better tiles.

So if that's your situation-then just do what pleases you.

In choosing the colors for vanity etc-always mind your floor..whatever color you choose it should be earthier, warmer, muddier version of it. So that your white will become cream or almond for example..etcetera

Mrs. S, yes I have kids, 1 and 2 year old so doing a lot of work is a challenge. The paint color is lighter in person it's SW Olympus white (white-blue). I took the picture at night so it looks a little darker.

I agree that probably the other area matter more, the main selling points of our house will be the yard and the location. Rest of the house is pretty light, bright and neutral. I think I might just replace the mirror and be done with it
