Help with BM White paint color to go with BM Graytint 1611

Hi, we are planning to paint our dining room with Benjamin Moore Graytint 1611. In the dining room, there is a chair rail, and would like to paint it white on bottom. Does anyone have a recommendation for a complementary white that goes with Graytint? Also which finish should we use for the chair rail? We plan to do eggshell on the walls (have small children). Thank you!

All these work with Graytint just depends on which one you like best.

Chantilly Lace BM OC-065

Ice Mist BM OC-067

Snow White BM OC-066

As far as gloss level, you could do the same as the walls, eggshell, or bump it up one level to satin (or whatever the next bump up in gloss level is called in the brand you want to buy).

Almost all my ceilings are painted Navajo White. I know that's not one of the new choices but just mentioning I've seen the color IRL. I have samples of Muslin and Natural Wicker. I like both colors but if my memory is working right, the Muslin has red in it which I remember seeing a slight pink tone when looking at painted poster board sample. Out of all the samples I tried, this one really looked pink to my eye. Natural Wicker was nice but was too light. I ended up actually not even using that room right now and when the time comes, I'm going to use Manchester Tan - which I know is darker than what you're talking about here. The room also gets lots of sun. I would definitely check out the paint samples in the room. A nice neutral you might consider checking out is SW Aria Ivory (it's a retired color). Miss Mustard Seed used this in her house and I really liked the sample I bought. If you look around on her blog more, you'll see a lot more photos of this color than what's shown in the link. Your cabinets are lovely, must you paint them? If you must, I agree with choosing something else first, such as the granite. If you're doing your backsplash too, perhaps go tile shopping. If you fall in love with something, it will help narrow down your paint choices. Easier to do it that way as paint choices are much larger than granite/ tile choices.

BM Chamois is a warmer white with some yellow undertones, but the current trim color looks fine to be next to the cabinets so if it's close and you're fine with it I say stick with it. Really unless you use the same color as the cabinets it won't be an exact match. Can you paint a sample of the Chamois and hold it against the cabinets to see the contrast? IMO since you have the bright white cabinets and grey soapstone I'd play it safe and go for a cooler white. BM chantilly lace or BM super white would work.
