The broadleaf weeds are easily killed with Weed B Gone, sprayed according to directions. The grassy perennials look to me like Tall Fescue (which is different from Turf-Type Tall Fescue) and quackgrass and orchardgrass. I'd spot-spray Round Up on each plant, and get it killed now, early in the season. Start at the far end, and walk backward toward the house as you spray, so that you don't step on fresh roundup, and walk it where you don't want it. hard to tell from the picture, but from the first picture I am thinking perennial rye, but I am not sure if it produces seeds like that and msma will def. kill it, but temps have not been hot enough, imo, for it to die off. When temps rise, it will die on its own as well. I have the same issue in my yard, but have been holding off because of all the rain and cool temps to do anything about it yet. Do you have a pic of the weed growing in the yard?

Thanks. It is a slightly lighter shade of green than the rest of the grass, but dull...almost greyish-green. Could be right. I have tenacity. It might make it angry, but it bounces back. :/ I could go with poa constrictor, but it will probably take the red fescue with it.

Can you squish a leaf blade and see if it smells oniony or garlicky? Also does the juice feel slimey?
