Can you help me identify this?

Hello,
My husband and I bought our house recently and are starting to see the spring garden bloom for the first time. We have a bunch of these plants sprouting up and we don't know what they are. I think they may possibly be a lily of some sort. I know if I just wait for them to bloom I'll know what they are, but I'm awfully impatient! :)
