help the painters are coming on Monday!!!!
Comments (9)The thread sammi2 mentions has some great colors: add to the list Benjamin Moore's Crown Point Sand (a neutral, earthy green), Baby Turtle (darker) and Camouflage (light) -- both popular greens on these boards. Ellen Kennon's Ashen Green is very pretty, too -- I believe you can only have Sherwin Williams mix her colors, though. Here's the link to a recent post re A.G.: http://ths.gardenweb.com/forums/load/decor/msg0316462329182.html My kitchen is done in B.M.'s Crown Point Sand (with toffee maple cabs) and I love it: Also, check out this additional thread on greens: Here is a link that might be useful: Favorite Greens...See MorePaint sheen - painter coming Monday!!!
Comments (28)For those with little natural light in their kitchens, such as mine with an east-west exposure, I read recently of using a semi-gloss white (!) on the ceiling from which the room light can bounce off. Painters/homeowners are thinking out of the box more! I'd vote for matte or pearl on walls. Paint has increased in price dramatically due to environmental restrictions and other. Few of us may be free to paint as often and un-washable/removable wall marks are the most common offender. Comments (34)sheila, I love the Shaker Beige! I have seen it mostly at night this week because it's been so dark when I get home from work, but I would describe it as very warm also. It looks almost soft gold in low light, but really gives a nice feeling to this room where we spend most of our time. Really like the Woodlawn Blue too, although that one is taking a little more getting used to. I feel like I have some work to do tying it in to the rest of the house, if that makes sense. For example, when time/budget allows I want to replace the builder carpet on the stairs with a striped runner with a little bit of blue in it. Have seen some DIY ideas online and think we can do this ourselves. (As usual, one thing leads to another!) I'll post pictures tomorrow when I'm home in the daylight!...See MoreCalling all paint experts...please help! Painters coming on Monday!
Comments (2)Hello, first of all I have SW Pure White on my cabinets and it is definitely a nice white but not as creamy as you think, it reads "pure" white. The inspo pic looks much like a greige, here are a few suggestions on the greige chart. Maybe Balboa Mist? I have classic gray on my walls and it is a warmer gray. I love it....See Moretinadm
