The thread sammi2 mentions has some great colors: add to the list Benjamin Moore's Crown Point Sand (a neutral, earthy green), Baby Turtle (darker) and Camouflage (light) -- both popular greens on these boards. Ellen Kennon's Ashen Green is very pretty, too -- I believe you can only have Sherwin Williams mix her colors, though. Thanks for the sites. It did help to give me ideas. I just have to careful with the greens. I don't want it to clash with the granite. I just wish my countertops were in. It is so hard to work with the sample. What usually takes me many days to decide color, I only have a few. Yikes!

Go with your gut. We agonized over paint choice, got lots of great help here, and ended up back with our first choice. It's so tempting to make paint a choice from the head when it's really about the heart and what makes you feel good.

I feel for you. It takes me days and many samples painted on the walls in different locations and living with it during the day and during the night. The colors change depending on the shadows and the lighting.

champagne taste: I got this pendant and a matching flush mount ceiling light at either lightingdirect.com or lightinguniverse.com (can't recall specifically right now which one). But here's a link to it at lightinguniverse. It's the Kichler Telford pendant in nickel -- very reasonably priced. Note that it does have a couple of chain links toward the top, which surprised me when we first opened it and put it together. But now that it's up, I like it. It comes with a number of extensions so you can customize the length. HTH.

can you grab a pc of sheetrock, prime it and buy some samples of what you think you like and paint blocks of color to position near your cabs this w/e?

I know its Easter but i would be fretting on this too, for sure; spent weeks agonizing over my color which i knew what i wanted just couldn't find.

Prop the painted board next to cabs with hopefully a sample pc of your counters.

Thanks for the suggestion. My plan is to get paint samples today and hopefully come up with something workable. As far as Easter goes, can't do much with my kitchen the way it is anyway. Wish me luck!!!
