Finally found Persil Power-Caps in Canada

If you've used them how are the suds? What type of loads do you like them for? Assume I need a pretty full load for one cap? I recall positive comments about them.

No problems with suds for me and I can use two for or a full moderate to heavily loads and still not excessive suds. I love these..no stain they can't get out and the scent is teriffic.

I tried the Pro-Clean Power Pearls when they first came to Wal-Mart. Not impressed. Fast forward a few months and I need to buy new detergent. I gave up on powder as I just could not get near as good of results as liquid. So, I decided to give one of the Persil liquids another chance. I went with the Intense Fresh. I've used it in about 5 loads now so far and I have been impressed. I love the scent and it seems to play well with any fabric softener I've used with it or even when I only used a bit of vinegar in FS dispenser. DH needed new laundry detergent this weekend. (Yes, we each do our own laundry and pick out our own products.) I tried to get him to consider the Persil 2-in-1, but he's stuck on the Tide Plus Ultra Stain Release.

I don't know what I will do if Cheer is discontinued. I have many boxes of original (non-HE, Larsi-scent) Tide powder and probably have a box of the large Cheer. If it's gone I'll probably have to go to an unscented or maybe Miele Color powder. I was actually in the Miele store today because my vacuum just stopped working. They are now selling laundry appliances and detergent, whereas previously they only dealt with the vacuums and floor care. They have both Miele detergents and a variety of Persil. When I go back to pick up my vacuum, I'll probably get some liquid Persil (euro). I've never tried it.

Almost all of my sheets are white vintage percale, 100% cotton, a few vintage muslin, and a few modern day queen sets from Portugal 100% long staple cotton percale. ..I have 5 beds. Amiees gets done daily and she uses the Portugal sheets. The 2 boys each use percales, they are done every 3/4 days. Hubs percales every 3/4 days..and my percales every 2 to 4 days...everyone's pillowcase gets changed daily. I know I'm nuts. I probably easily have enough vintage sheets for 3 changes each, but don't rotate more than 2 sets each since I strip, put on the freshly washed and ironed ones, wash and iron the next set. Lol I think you should really like your new detergent and I'm looking forward to your review.

One I forgot I had until comming across it in the deepest corner of the closet a few weeks ago. ..Mexican Pinol with Bleach powder...don't know if it has an activator but none the less its some good stuff. I ran out of Tide with Bleach and son dropped off a load of only white socks, I was impressed at how white they ended up. I used it on some white sheets and was well pleased. Min suds and second rinse was pretty clear. Sorry I don't know what alls in this stuff as I had dumped it from the bag into a metal tin.

LOVE these. I have used two pods on LARGE loads that really needed washing, and sudsing was fine. Normal load, normal soiling...ONE pod. Even if these do get slightly sudsy during the wash, and they usually do not, they rinse great. Like mama said, the scent is TERRIFIC!!

I finally tried some of these. Not sudsy at all and they smell masculine, in a very good way!

Yeah .... good to hear! I haven't used them yet. Going to do kitchen towels with them in the next few days though.
