Hi Patti, thanks for asking. Lately I've mostly been making quilts (background) but I did get a new pattern from Craftsy for this Honeycomb Basket. It was fun to make but took quite a bit of time. I'm not sure what I'll do with it, if I put things in the pockets, the cats look at it like a challenge and try to empty them. LOL

Flamey, that basket is amazing--I've never seen anything like it. I can't imagine constructing it. You and Wanda take my breath away with your quilt creations. Yes, please post more pictures--both of you!

Just last night I finished hooking this very small (6x6) piece for my 5-year-old grandson. He saw the much larger Chinese Water Dragon table mat I hooked for my granddaughter (who is 25) and an initial coaster I hooked for his dad, and requested that I hook something for him in his favorite colors ("red and indigo") and with a shark on it. This is the result. I was glad to find some wool in my stash that looked indigo-ish.

I still have to bind the edges, and then start on one for his brother--an orange octopus. Since the boys are 5 and 3, I expect these mats will suffer quite a bit of abuse. But even if the hooking doesn't survive at all, Grammy came through. :-)

Alisande, you are a wonderful "hooker". I enjoyed hooking, but now I spend all of my free time in my quilt studio.

And...my latest hobby is 5D Diamond Painting. It is relaxing and fun.

I LOVE that basket! It would be the perfect holder for all of my different colored yarn balls while I'm crocheting one of my afghans! My current project (it's for my boss)

Wonderful work. I can create beautiful hand embroidered or cross stitched pieces but I surely cannot sew with a machine. I would love to learn how to quilt or sew to make beautiful items like Flamey's or Sandy's. I still use the book jacket cover and the bag holder you made for me. Everyone's pieces are beautiful.

That basket is very cool. It does look like quite a bit of work. I have been making Dutch costumes in preparation of our up coming Tulip Time Festival in May.
