Ellen of Nouveau Stitch Finds Great Home Decor Products Made in America
For those of you who read my blog, you probably were expecting an ideabook all about fabric, right? I promise one in the future, but this month I thought it would be fun to compile a product listing that would coincide with the American Independence Day holiday. These items have been produced by United States manufacturers and, most likely, you already use some of them in your home.
I will admit it was a challenge to sort companies that produce 100 percent American-made product with American raw materials, from American-owned manufacturers. American made can mean different things, but what it all boils down to is that the entrepreneurial spirit is alive and very likely thriving in your Hometown USA! — Ellen of Nouveau Stitch

Weber Performer Grill
I can't get over how adding a fun color to a rather pedestrian object can render it a must-have! As soon as I saw this beauty at my local C&B I knew we were destined to be together. I think even the food tastes better cooked on this grill! Made in the USA (Illinois) by Weber Grills.
Solid Wood Adirondack Chair by Manchester Wood
A book, a glass of iced tea and an Adirondack chair epitomize summer for me. Of course if you throw in a lake and a cottage I would probably never move until the mosquitoes carried me away. Crafted in New York and Vermont for more than 30 years.
Wood Bag
I'm always on the lookout for a product that can serve dual purposes, and this heavy-duty tote does just that. Functioning as a log tote, it not only makes lighter work of hauling in wood for the fireplace, but it also looks great sitting next to the fireplace. Solid construction and American-made in North Carolina.
5' Poly/Cotton Decorative American Flag Kit
What better way to show your American spirit than with the Stars and Stripes? In our little town, on nearly every front porch, Old Glory remains a wonderful reminder of the bravery exhibited by generations before us and the pride we have for our country today. Handcrafted in the USA.
Beehive Serving Bowl
I can't think of a more beautiful way to serve a fresh salad than in a handcrafted wooden bowl. Styled to mimic a beehive, this yellow birch wonder exudes unsurpassed quality. Perfectly crafted in Wilmington, VT, this will definitely become a family heirloom.
Americana Medium Market Basket
And here's another favorite. This throwback with a modern flair is an ideal way to make function fun. I love that a cooler fits inside! Longaberger has been an American manufacturing fixture in Ohio since 1973.
Outdoor Living Fan
Finally, a way to enjoy the patio without getting eaten alive by pesky bugs! Of course the breeze generated by this clever outdoor fan can't be overlooked either. A great addition to an outdoor room, I think the styling makes a normally bulky and unattractive utilitarian object seem furniture-like in appearance. Manufactured in the US, since 1906.
Fiesta Ware Egg Tray
A place for everything and everything in its place. I love a fancy deviled egg and what a way to present your handiwork. Perfect! Fiesta Ware has been manufactured by the Homer Laughlin China Co. in the Ohio Valley since 1871.
Goldtone Scrusher®
Okay, this I really, really need. I mean who hasn't given somebody in the house a hard time for tracking in mud and dirt right after you've cleaned the hardwoods? Can you imagine how sparkling clean your floors will stay with this simple boot/shoe brush? Brilliant, I say! Wisconsin-made.
Oscar de la Renta Greek Key Chest
From the Oscar de la Renta collection, this Greek Key chest in fern speaks volumes about the love of color and pure delight in design. I would easily choose this piece for the style alone, but the color absolutely takes it to the next level. Glorious! Manufactured in Hickory, NC since 1947.
6 Piece Set Kit. Store
Not a day goes by that I don't have a dab of something that must be stored for later or packed in a lunch. These clear glass storage containers with BPA-free lids fit the bill nicely. I really appreciate being able to see what's inside without having to open them up! Anchor Hocking likely outfitted your grandmother's kitchen, since they've been manufacturing in Ohio and Pennsylvania since 1905.
The Fuller Brush Company
If there's one thing I can't stand, it's a grimy grill! Nothing works better to remove baked-on crud than a good wire brush. This one is perfectly angled to get into crevices and leave the grill sparkling again. Made in the U.S. by Fuller Brush, an American standard for more than 90 years.
Maglite Blue 2 D Cell Incandescent Flashlight
Every household needs a good flashlight, and I can't tell you how often my little MagLite gets used. From power outages to ghost stories to an after-dark neighborhood walk, this powerful and rugged beauty beats the others when it comes to shining some light on the subject! Every Mag Instrument flashlight comes from a factory located in the U.S.
Nordic Ware Formed Bundt Pan
Nordic Ware, a family-owned American manufacturer of kitchenware products founded in 1946, still manufactures its original Bundt pan. But did you know they now come in colors? I love the red but it's also available in blue, yellow, green and others.
All-Clad Pizza Set
Ever since I learned that a pizza stone is the very best way to cook breads and pizzas, I've been looking for something a little more glamorous than the run-of-the-mill store brand stone. All-Clad's version, with a carrying tray and pizza cutter, fits the bill. I love an innovative, American-made product!
MW24 Microwave
When it comes time to replace my microwave, I'll be eying this sleek, built-in model. I love the clean lines and that it fades into the cabinetry without drawing unnecessary attention to itself. Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances have been a fixture on the American manufactured, high-end appliance scene for over 70 years.
Upholstered Bed
I'm crazy for upholstered headboards, and I just have to say, this one is fantastic. Cocoon-like in appearance but elegant nonetheless, this bed is a great example of form and function colliding and creating artistry. Harden has been an American-made, New York furniture manufacturer for 167 years.
Coloma Colander
Some of the tools I use in my kitchen every day have been around for quite some time and they look like it. But can you believe this colander has been handcrafted with pride in the US for more than 200 years? Recognized as America's oldest cookware company, all Jacob Bromwell products come with a lifetime guarantee.
Fiesta 5pc Place Setting, White
I've owned Fiesta Ware for years only to be thrilled by its simplicity and style every time I set the table. Crisp and clean, this white American-made collection is my go-to everyday dinnerware. Quality construction and lead-free.
4-Pc. Red Table Knife Set With Black Tray
I might just have to reconsider my mandate of finger-food-only for picnics. A little of the unexpected brought to everyday objects always makes me smile! Made by Cutco Cutlery, manufactured in America since 1949.
