Please Help Me with BM Paint Coordination
Comments (4)Juliekcmo, thanks, I like the Glacier Blue too, but darn that is the one blue on my swatch board above that I don't have in real life. I was thinking of buying a sample. The last thing I want is for this to get busy:) I could wait for some things to be installed before the painting. But I wanted the sink base painted in the shop. The other cabinets could wait. What does this sound like?: First Color: I am going to paint the ceiling & trim that same as the upper walls, one of the very light bluish to periwinkle gray colors mentioned above. Second Color: There will be a lot of white with the tile. Third Color: A light tone for the Sink base, dark tone for the tall standing cab that is on the same color card. I am leaning to the Sea Life for the dark, so that means the sink would be Misty Memories. Fourth Color Idea: To paint the 2 other built-in's, (the one at the tub, and to the right of sink) in another light grayish color....See MorePlease help with question about coordinating 2 paint colors.
Comments (16)Sis, this thread has now become almost impossible to deal with because of the way the pics are posted. When I open a thread that needs to be scrolled across like this, I don't bother. Just to let you know, there will be little "new" action on this, IME. To answer your original question, I don't see a problem using the WM with the GW seen in the distance. As I said in my earlier post, everyone has a different set of tolerances (as funcolors calls them) for what they need/like/want. In the picture I showed you from my last house, I was happy going dark-light-dark-light. There is no universal answer. You need to figure out what you need/want/like. You are already on that path of color-self-discovery in that you have decided you don't like what you have now. Your home is really very beautiful and I am sure you will be able to figure this out. Do the big swatches, makes sure the WM looks good with your sofa, blah, blah, blah. You know what to do. :-)...See MorePLEASE HELP ME COLOR COORDINATE A BEDROOM
Comments (63)I love the rug in there and how it ties in with the baskets, wall, etc., but if it were me I'd still exchange the bedding because it would drive me crazy to see the striped side when the bed is unmade (which it is 99% of the time in my son's room). With the bed made the navy works. I would also exchange the drapes for something lighter, but that's just personal preference; I love lighter window treatments! I'm boring and would probably do white, but think a pattern with coordinating colors could look great too. I love the baseball art in there; it's perfect!...See MorePlease help me coordinate nightstands and dresser for this bed.
Comments (7)Hi Elisabeth. The walls in your new apt are not a stark white. It looks like they might have a touch of grey. I also see that you are near the water with great views, if I am seeing correctly. I put together some beginning thoughts on a 3d rendering of what you might consider, based on your input so far. I would use whites, blues and taupes. This, of course could be tweaked to go any way. I would not recommend a mirror nightstand, but a muted mirror would be fine....See More- 7 years ago
