"Some people on the forum will insist you see a doctor for anything." First of all d0ug, no one on this forum insists that anyone "see a doctor for anything" as you put it. Second of all, no one except for you goes around telling other members that ask for advise that they should not go to doctors or take medicines except for you. You have a vendetta against medicine, doctors, hospitals medicine and are spreading some very dangerous information because of that vendetta. It appears that you believe any and all doctors, hospitals, medications both prescription and OTC should not be used and from what you have stated in another thread, it appears that vendetta is based on the death of a family member and how doctors didn't treat you loved one properly. I'm sure many of us, maybe most of us including myself, can have the same kind of complaint. I lost my mother to very poor medical care, but that didn't turn me against medicine or anything else. Instead of a vendetta, such as you have, I took action to be sure that those doctors never practiced medicine again, and they don't. Something that you seem to not understand is that doctors are human beings, and being such, they make mistakes just like any other human being. Sometimes those mistakes result in serious consequences and even death for a patient. Sometimes it could have been prevented and sometimes not. The fact is, most doctors make mistakes at some point in their career and there is nothing that can be done to fully prevent that from happening all the time. One can learn from the mistakes, and do everything possible to try and prevent the same thing from happening again. To just outright condemn and entire profession as you are doing on this thread and on every thread that you post on is disingenuous to say the least. Doctors are doing the very best humanly possible and they try their best. They are properly trained to deal with various medical issues, unlike you. You may think you know so much because of what you have read, studies you claim to know about etc. But you do not have the full knowledge to be dispensing the medical advise that you are attempting to do, you do not have the knowledge to fully understand studies that you quote so frequently or what they really mean, or how they have been replaced with newer and new studies that dispute claims that you have made. I do hope that no one listens to your advise, and follows through with proper medical care, and ignores you. And no, I have no direct link to any medical profession, hospital, pharmaceutical company or anything else. I just have the intelligence and common sense to know that anyone that is spouting out the vendetta that you spout on as many threads as possible is not someone that should be listened to. Oh, yes PDR is the abbreviation for "Physicians Desk Reference". not the "nurses drug handbook".

Maybe if I had a bigger closet I'd have more shoes! Nah, doesn't necessarily work that way. Two houses ago we had two huge (to us anyway, one 8x10ish and one 6x12)walk-in closets and it didn't affect our purchasing habits at all. I think it's simply just in how naturally acquisitive you are. If you're oriented toward accumulation of "stuff", it doesn't matter whether you live in a 20,000sf mansion or a 200sf studio, you're going to find a way to have your stuff, and it doesn't really matter what your "stuff" is either. When I lived in a 200sf studio, one of my immediate neighbors (same size apartment) lined one of her walls (12 foot ceilings, note) with shoe boxes and had a stepladder to get to the way-up ones. She was practically a Carrie Bradshaw - she chose to live in this teensy apartment so she could have hundreds of pairs of $300-500 shoes. 20x20 is almost half the size of the second floor of my 1 1/2 story house. The notion of a closet that size boggles me. Clearly I'm in the wrong place - is there a forum for "po'-ass trash"?

I am speaking from many years of experience here ------ YOU WILL NOT HAVE TIME FOR A HOT BREAKFAST! Please don't stress over this. If it is just you - and maybe some help from DH - and you are setting up and breaking down everything..... You will NOT get it done. I have been serving pre-game meals to teams for a lot of years. No doubt they can blow through the chow line fast - but if you start serving at 7 - there is NO WAY you can be somewhere else at 7:30. You would be lucky to have stuff back to your car by 8. I would get doughnuts and bottles of juice and milk and call it good. This is breakfast - not a pre-game meal. And it is just you..... If you can order your doughnuts ahead of time, have them put school color sprinkles on them. I do mean this will all sincerity... Don't kill yourself over this meal. I was thinking you were going to have lots of help and people contributing to this. If it is just you,and you have places to be - keep it simple. Keep it cold. Do not have things that have to stay hot. Those pans and tables are heavy. Set up and tear down does take time - not to mention getting it back to the car and stowed away.

This has been hacking me off so I started looking online. That hacked me off even more because I keep seeing advice about rusty water or washing with coloreds. I even took apart my washing machine several months ago and, as expected, there was nothing hidden. The stains do not at all have the appearance of the ferric ion to be expected in rusty water but that got me thinking (always dangerous). The pink is both distinct and consistent and vaguely familiar. I accidentally got a chemistry degree over 40 years ago and have never worked in the field but the pink seem like that of the permanganate ion (MnO4). I started trying to locate a source of either manganese or the permangante ion based on my laundry habits. All of my whites go into separate laundry basket that contain nothing but white undershirts and briefs. It is only the shirts that show the pink stains. As I get ready for work, I go through the same ritual of washing my face, shaving, rinsing my dentures and then wiping down the sink with the "old" white t-shirt before throwing it into the white hamper. I checked the ingredients of my denture cleaner and it contains permanganate. I would not be surprised if my denture cream contains some manganese as well. I went to Walmart and bought some pink hand towels to wipe down the sink (which will go into the colored hamper). I will advise as to the results after the next load of whites. I am fairly new to dentures so this has never affected me before the last year. Many cleaners would contain the MnO4 ion so younger people might run into the problem as well.
