The party was last night. We had kind of a small turnout due to one lady was sick, another lady's dog was sick and couple other people who had some kind of timing or work conflicts. Some of them did manage to send their ornaments though.

The ornaments were nice, some were very clever and one was a little different in that it wasn't an ornament at all but a jar of hot fudge sauce. She made it herself, and it will be very much appreciated in this house for sure! If we had ice cream, we could have banana splits. If we had bananas. LOL

I'll just explain the ornaments a little bit. The green coil tree is made from an old bedspring that was wrapped with green wire. She also made red ones. She said she wore the skin on her fingers right off winding all that wire around those old bed springs. The lady who made this always comes up with the most unusual things and they usually have something to do with hardware or plumbing supplies, she is very clever.

The arrow came from one of the girls who is out sick. She makes very clever things also. Arrows are very popular right now. Think Hunger Games.

The stitched felt Santa is amazing and probably my favorite ornament from the whole party. I'm tempted to put a pin back on it and wear it on a jacket. I picked one with a purple hat.

The six pointed star is another favorite, it's purple, turquoise and green which is a favorite combination of mine. There were many combos to choose from.

The candycane is silver and red wire that was wrapped using a long drillbit in a drill and then bent into the candycane shape. Very clever.

The pinecone owl is really cool and she found the pinecones while walking her dog. I love that.

The little reindeer is sparkly which is great and very sweet.

The crocheted tree is made out of seven round medallions and there were several different color combos.

There's a clothespin with a yo-yo and three jingle bells and a leaf on it, it was a Martha Stewart pattern that was supposed to be a barrette which Gayla did not find out until she was almost done with her items so she put them on a clothespin instead.

The garland of hearts is very nice, all the hearts were knitted by hand and then decorated with some beads and string on a braided jute cord.

One of the ladies had her husband cut some rectangles of Cedar for her and then she woodburned snowflakes onto them. She always makes really unusual things and this was another hit.
