wild night last night if you watched TV
Comments (3)I thought about you all last night. And Helen, I was up about the same time you were. The TV weather picture was a sea of red and boy, was there water coming down! I had just shy of 3 inches in the rain gauge. My car trunk in the garage is covered with plants ready to go out, and I had even planted a darling little Supersweet 100 tomato a couple days ago. I knew better-- She got covered with some loose straw and a pot over her this evening. Surely our drought has been broken. I wondered this AM if I should be boiling water, as the last time we had that much water, it was after the tornado. But I thought maybe Folger's would take care of everything, and apparently there wasn't an order out after all. Not one tulip bloom was shattered, nor were any dogwood blooms knocked off, so all we had was rain. The thunder and lightning was terrible, though. "Our" storm pushed off east and made some big trouble today. So sorry. And I'm real sorry I didn't mow earlier! Sunny...See MoreAmazing Race last night, did you watch?
Comments (12)Hi Kids, I thought it was a good show last night. I was sad to see Dad and Son go. They did a good job of keeping it together and almost made it at the end. They were a good team, always nice to each other and respectful. I wish it had been a non-elim leg, but that was not the case. What was up with the Brothers? Why did they finish so far ahead of the other teams? Was it just beacuse they followed the cab? I would have been surprised if they had not gotten the penalties or at least one. Hiding the pump was a dirty trick, but did the other teams even know there was sapose to be a pump there? I think I missed that. Asking the cab driver to show them the way was a dumb move. Another case of a team not reading the directions? It was nice to Thailand again and Homemade is correct...the heat is unlike anything we have here. It's not just the high temps, but it's also the high humidity as well as the sun. Being closer to the equator, the sun is strong and hot. You need gills to breathe. Next week in Bangkok, away from the ocean, will be ever worse. I've been dehydrated in Bangkok. It's not fun and it happens fast. You need to drink lots and lots of water. It will be interesting to see how they handle the traffic and the smells of the city. Flamiey...you are right about the two girls and that poor man with all the drawers. They were so rude. No need to yell at the poor guy. Did you notice his wife...standing at the end of the counter...laughing at them? We're getting down to the last few teams...who will make it to the end? It's a good one... sooey...See MoreWho Watches 'House' and did you watch last night?
Comments (3)We finally got around to watching it. We had it recorded on the DVR. What a weird way to get rid of a character. Why not have him move away or something. Why did they end it that way? It really depressed me. Clare...See MoreDid You Watch Big Brother Last Night?
Comments (8)I liked the first group better. Don't like several of the people in the second group. My initial impression of Zach is that he sounds like a real jerk. Marilyn, the biggest news from last night was more information about the HOH and the houseguests nominated. There's going to be 2 HOH, each who will nominate 2 for eviction - putting 4 in danger of going home. There will then be a Battle of the Block where the 2 compete against the other 2. I believe that the 2 who win means that the HOH who nominated them is then no longer an HOH which puts that person in jeopardy also, but I'm not clear if that's an automatic thing or if they can choose the other HOH to step down....See More- 9 years ago
