I am new to this Forum so please bare with me. We had a house fire on Jan. 12, 2016 and this was are one and only home for 35+ years, and to get the most value back out of our home we have to re-build. Unfortunately, we live in a remote part in BC, Canada, where it is an industrial town and is either boom or bust; right now we are in a BUST MODE. It is going to cost us approx. $400,000.00 to rebuild our home. We live in an established neighbourhood and with the rebuild, we will be the newest house. Due to the size of lot we have, I have chosen a pre-fab house (Barlow, Jenish Design). We will not be using pre-fab materials as the Contract Builder refuses to us these building materials. So he is now putting pressure on us to choose colours and windows. I also have to mention, that on Nov. 4, 2011 we lost our youngest son to Meningitis. He was 1 month away from completing his degree from Thompson Rivers University, and all his boxes were back in our home that burnt. Many of these boxes were never opened, and to see the contents now ... well I bet you can understand why our minds are not on this re-build; never mind paint colours. So I would really appreciate your recommendations on what paint colours we should pick. ~ Mom with head in the clouds, Janet.
