Paint Design Dilemma Exterior

Need help picking a new exterior color.

My house needs a refresh - I've been struggling with the right color to repaint the wood on my house. My house has three distinct materials and colors. The front is dark brown wood on the top half and red/orange/brown brick on the bottom. The sides and back of the house are all beige vinyl (same as garage door). Any thoughts?

I'd paint the garage door to match the wood and paint the wood a new color. The sage green above is pretty.

There is a free software to download scanned pics of house then you can "paint" to see if you like it? They have several major paint supplers in the paint database. Takes some time but really works.

thanks for the replies! egbar - I was thinking a deep navy color for the shutters and door. I agree the above color is too cool. The gray shutters are a good idea also with a lighter stucco color. i'm going for a more modern look with stainless hardware and lanterns. so maybe yellow is out of the question. nosoccermom - the grout color is gray. a brown gray is a good idea. its just so hard to find the right one! so confused!

I like the two tone gray, above. maybe an apple green door tho? gave you a light too. I think I may like a black garage door better. and a wood address plaque and black light wood door looks nice w/the black and gray or turquoise or yellow. I put in an address thing too, enlarged though. your pic is very small. landscaping will make a huge diff

Stone is most successful when it is used in a traditional way an expressed all the way around the house and not just on the front facade. As far as color, do something different, I get tired of looking at the same old forms in the same old colors. Perhaps Hunter Orange in the very top of the main gable.

I also like the sage and agree with matching the garage door.

I would match the beige vinyl. It goes with your brick and roof!

The siding color is just too yellow for me. If you like a lighter color instead of the sage that has been suggested, just tone down the yellow but still use a warm off white.
