Comments (7)Head on over to Photobucket.com and set up an account. The upload process is pretty easy if the pictures are saved on your hard drive or flash drive. Once you've saved your pictures onto photobucket, put your mouse over the picture you want to share. It should pop out a box that has Share:Edit:Delete:Move on a blue background. There are 4 titles below that from top to bottom: Email & IM, Direct link, HTML code, and IMG code. Take your mouse to the HTML code line and left click on the box to the right. It should start with Now head back over to gardenweb and type your message or response in this case. Where you want the photo to appear, right click your mouse and select "paste". A whole bunch of gobbly-gook (that's a technical term) will appear. That's your picture code, so don't delete any part of it. Click Preview Message and see if your picture appears. If it doesn't, well, someone a lot more saavy will need to help you further. Kathe...See MoreNeed decorating ideas to complete my kitchen
Comments (18)I’d put the lemon tree or topiary to the right of your range area, just to balance out the tall glass cabinet on the left. I’ve done the same in my own kitchen - put a tallish topiary to the left near the window, to balance out the tall glass cabinet to the far right. Also the wood trim on the bottom of your vent cover is making it feel unbalanced with the black and white drapery. I would put some decorative wrought iron hanging on your range hood cover to give it more presence....See MoreDecor/color ideas for Kitchen Update
Comments (3)Or, maybe a bit of something above the cabinets! Depends on how many cabinets you have & how much other stuff you have displayed in adjacent areas. If you do add anything, try larger items related to some theme - no small dust catchers. And maybe it’s something that ties into green of chairs. I have really large decorative platters on easels & some bigger ceramic pots above my cabinets. Easy to get the platters down when needed. A suggestion here - you made an investment updating backsplash & counter but what about your cabinet hardware? I think you’d get major impact updating that item! You’re changing your stove & hood to stainless & black which will be great with your BS tile. Depending on what your other appliances are, maybe consider polished nickel handles? Mixed metals work in kitchens too. I agree about the sconces - I wondered what the rest of that corner looks like and if there’s lighting above the table. From another of your pics it looks like that table is in kitchen....See MoreHelp!!! Update kitchen on a budget? Any ideas? need a pantry
Comments (7)This is far from a classic mcm home! the light is the only thing that looks like it's from the 50's-60's. Those cabs are builder grade oak from the 80's check ikea. you could prob do some lowers. as for the other part, save up so you can do a new countertop w/an overhang for that peninsula. also, trim out the front of the peninsula w/some panel trim work, and paint. the front of this looks like plywood! try something like this, and do the side as well, and paint and paint the cabs while youre at it. get yourself some inexpensive hardware for the cabinets. don't know what you can spare for a budget, but if you paint them yourself, can do some basic carpentry and look into a pre-fab countertop, you wouldn't need more than 2-3K. Ikea is another option if you just want to remove everything and start over. RTA cabinets are another option. for about 3K, and some install work, you could have all new cabs. countertops, another 2K. and if you want a tall pantry, remove that window and install one next to the fridge....See Morescone911
