basement bath reveal

Everyone loves a reveal. This bathroom is in our still unfinished basement. We decided to go ahead and finish it because we needed another bath for when we have guests. It was stubbed already, toilet was there and functional, although with no walls around it ... not very useful. :D

The floor tile is a ceramic sheeted penny tile from Floor and Decor. Walk-out basement goes to pool so we thought the blue was in keeping with a watery theme. It is also on the back wall of the cubby.

Wall tile is a standard 4x4 white ceramic. Vanity and sink are Ikea. I replaced the dark hardware on the Hemnes cabinet with chrome.

Faucet is Delta, can't remember style but it was off the shelf from Home Depot. Cheapo medicine cabinet for extra storage. Mirror and other hardware from Overstock. Eventually we are going to replace the curtain with a glass door, but we're going to be remodeling our master bath and will do both doors at the same time.

Our house is a 3/2 ranch that was built in 1965 so trying to keep with it fresh but in keeping with a style that might have actually been in this house. Our two upstairs bathrooms were poorly remodeled by previous owner with 12x12 cheap builder-style tile, huge grout lines, and a vessel sink and it's all on the remodel list. I probably would have loved the original bathrooms!
