I can’t exist without a tub especially in winter when a hot bath warms to me the bone and without it I shiver in bed for 30 minutes at least.

Showers are great but on going entire family daily showers kill a bathroom in no time no matter how well ventilated. Plus with young children you got years before they can shower alone..no fun believe me.

I know it’s not the norm, but we shower our kids. When they’re really little, they shower with us and when they get a little older we just supervise their showers.
Partly because I don’t like the idea of kids being in a body of water, even supervised, and also because I personally think baths are a bit icky, unless they’re done the way Japanese people often do, which is to shower before sitting in a bath.
