Another Rainbow Bridge crossing
Comments (6)Lizalily, my dear... I feel what you feel, having just experienced this same tragedy... if you could see me right now, you'd think I just lost another "best friend"... my heart goes out to you... Corie and Emma are now in His hands, getting to know each other, chasing bunnies and laying in the perpetual sunshine of heaven. They have no pain, they are at peace, and their memories will live on in our hearts... No other pets can replace those two lovable little creatures, but Maia and Josie will do their very best to step up and help us forget the sadness that comes with loss. Dogs are so intuitive... Maia has been incredibly wonderful since Emma's passing... and I know that the moment you hold Josie in your arms for the first time, there will be an understanding you and I cannot fathom... and Josie will know exactly what needs to be done to make you smile... I'm so sorry, Lizalily... if I could reach through this monitor and hug you, you know I would......See MoreChabby crossed the rainbow bridge.
Comments (67)Linda, I am really glad you didn't rush out and get another dog immediately. A lot of times people do that when they lose a pet, and sometimes in their grief, they don't make the best decisions. My co-worker's boyfriend just lost his 15 year old poodle a week ago... the next day he came home with TWO poodles that cost 1000 dollars each! He was drinking again, and threatening to hurt himself, apparently the old dog was is only reason for living. What you wrote describes the way I see it perfectly.... you can't replace the old friend, nor should you try, but you still want the companionship. I can't wait to see the thread that includes pictures and the story about the new, very lucky friend you've adopted when the time is right. Continued hugs......See MoreNoel Elizabeth, My Beautiful Angel Crossed Over
Comments (41)Oh, Cathy. I just saw this post and I am so sorry for you, my friend. Tough times indeed. I thought I'd share this with you to ease your sorrow just a little THE RAINBOW BRIDGE POEM When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.......See MoreStormy has gone to the Rainbow Bridge
Comments (25)Kittiemom, I'm so sorry to hear about Stormy. And you Lydia as well. I had no idea about your kitty. It kills us every time we have to do this (and I've done it a few). We have to remember that it's the best thing for our pet, even if not the best for us. They had a great life, and believe it or not, there's room in your heart for another fur-pet when the time is right. I can't imagine not having a cat, and I can't see myself without one....See MoreFun2BHere
