Comments (15)Jamies - oh yes, we did get a new toilet! The Toto Ultramax. Which my DH has managed to clog once (shh, he'll kill me if he knows I'm posting that in public!!). But only the one time...so far...And unfortunately, the Toto's don't respond well to basic plungers b/c of their shape or something. I've found recs for ball shaped plungers that apparently work better so I need to get one of those! Oh, and for anyone interested, my paint color is Behr Roasted Garlic and it is a great shade of green/beige. It's constantly changing color based on the lighting and I like all the various shades!...See MoreRecs for BM very light silver/gray paint
Comments (6)I've never seen Silver Satin in person, but it looks like it has some taupe in it when I look at the sample. I love the idea of a silvery blue, so I wouldn't give up on that yet. I've never seen this color in person either, but in looking through my samples, I'm wondering about Metallic Silver. Silver Half Dollar, which is below Iced Cube Silver, also looks good. Comments (20)I would never recommend a specific color in anyone else's home or office and that's why I never do :-) Color is affected by everything from the orientation of the room to the height of the ceilings, the flooring, amount of fenestration, type of overhead lighting and wattage of lamps, and your location's latitude. It's a complete mystery to me how people can pick a color off a chip or use a paint because someone else has it in his or her home. Perceived undertones are just as affected by all of the above. Our accessible beige looks gray at night!...See MoreTiny powder room - 59"x38" : need small toilets rec
Comments (36)It is the Alape Bucket sink. The problem is that it sticks out 14.25" from the wall. It is a glazed steel sink with a navy or gray PVC gasket at Rejuvination Hardware. I looked at it, too and decided that the only way to use it would be to drill into the steel to place the faucets. putting them above the backsplash would cause too much splashing, just as Enduring concluded, above. Since it is glazed and not porcelain, I think you could drill the holes without harming the sink. It still would not make it fit this powder room. You have to go read the requirements for space in front of a toilet. I believe that you must have 24" of unobstructed space in front of the entire 30" wide toilet zone. I believe that is why everyone is telling Jade BR that this design will not work for her bathroom. Any side-mounted sink invades that space. If she mounts this sink across from the toilet, it is too big and, again, invades this space. But a sink that does not protrude so far from the wall would not violate the 30" wide zone that comes 24" out from the front of the toilet. Cpartist, am I stating the problem correctly? https://www.rejuvenation.com/catalog/products/alape-bucket-sink-gray-trim...See MoreRelated Professionals
