Had a Southerner, at well known deli: heated ham, swiss cheese on rye with tomato slices, mayo and mustard.

I made Pad Thai with a leftover chicken breast...no peanuts.

I've got a salad chilling in the fridge, pizza dough rising on the counter, and the pizza stone ready to heat up on the grill. We usually have onions, peppers, mushrooms, tomato slices, and mozzarella, and I'm going to add a spicy sauce and some shredded chicken.

A green salad, sounds healthy but I usually pile all manner of goodies in and on it. ha. Plus around 9:30pm. tonight I'll get hungry and end up making a sandwich or something. Pizza sounds good. I should order one and have it on hand for tonight. : )

Sausage ravioli. Rice. Starbucks iced carmel macchiato.

Had fried chicken at Hartz....they have a buffet. It was horrible. Going to have a ribeye steak later tonight.

Left over steak and mashed potatoes, with a root beer float for dessert!

We have central A/C. Turkey pot pie, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, peas and pearl onions. All we're missing is a killing frost.

Looking forward to that, but not until our tomatoes ripen. Tomatoes are the only thing I like about summer.

It cooled down today after too many days of heat and humidity. Potato salad, breaded pork chops and peas.

We'll be having leftover chicken fajitas that were made in a pan yesterday along with a garden salad with avocado. DH just got called to go fishing so dinner will very late.

Won't eat for a few hours yet, but for lunch I had homemade chicken noodle soup.

Well after reading the above posts I'm hungry again already and it's only 9pm, not 9:30pm.

We get pizza delivered on Fridays. We also had salad and I made chicken wings.

I invited a friend over for lunch. We had roast beef over mixed greens, tomato and lettuce. DH didn't come come for dinner tonight so I had the same thing for dinner!

Awesome fresh tomato sandwich with Duke's mayo and a thin slice of red onion. So far. Chocolate cookies made from a cake mix. Cold chicken. Who knows what I may find later! The night is young and TV is boring. :)

Itilian turkey sausage with peppers, mushrooms, spinach, arugula and fire roasted tomatoes. Yum!

It's so hot here I don't want to cook and heat up the rv. But I had stuff to make home made soup. Not what I think of in hot weather.I used the aroma cooker so no heating up the place. I had smoked turkey and lots of fresh vegetables and it was awesome.

I had a brain storm this evening and decided to try something new. Its not quite finished -- I'm waiting for the rice cooker to beep -- but I'm making asian pork lettuce wraps. I'll let you all know how they turn out.

Barbecued steak, baked potatoes and green beans fresh from my garden.

I was out most of the day. Stopped for a burger with pepperjack cheese and a grilled pineapple slice. I dressed it with a slice of tomato, red relish, a few rings of red onion and a dab of 1000 island. I needed meat and I left satisfied.

I had DD pick up pizza. Last night I baked bread and made six deep-dish peach crisps, so I didn't feel like cooking anything tonight. Plus, I weeded the pumpkin garden and mowed grass most of the afternoon, then took one of the crisps to neighbors who gave me cucumbers from their garden. I mowed again until a big storm ran me inside.

For dinner I made pan fried cod... then rice pilaf and some peas. No dessert but I did eat a couple navel oranges later. After reading all the posts I've got the munchies! The thought of Pad Thai will drive me nuts now lol I love it!

We had an unplanned rendezvous (life happens sometimes) at Scholotzsky's and hubby and I split a "Pick 2". I had a lovely kale/lettuce salad with pecans, cranberries, Feta cheese, and grilled chicken. Hubby had 1/2 half a pizza (4-slices and ate 2 of them) and ate a small portion of the salad. We had enough leftover to eat for lunch today. And yes, I'm a cheap date (LOL) since we got two meals for two people for $7.99 + .67 tax = $8.66.

T_G..thanks for the black bean/rice tip. We'll try that today.

Update: The pork and rice filling for the Asian Pork Lettuce Wraps was quite tasty. I think the proportion of rice to pork was a little high. The bigger problem was that the lettuce that I had in the fridge that triggered the idea was green leaf lettuce and the shape of the leaves made it so that the filling would fall out when you picked them up.

Texas_Gem, would you mind sharing your recipe for the black beans cooked in a crockpot. My granddaughter loves black beans, and I would love to make these for her.

My grandkids would love the beans and rice. In fact, they would eat it for every meal with a bit of sour cream and cilantro.

Though there have been some deeeelicious sounding meals, the one thing that has stayed in my mind was Audrey's naval oranges!

I had to stop and pick some up today!

Penne with marinara, artichoke hearts, ham and parmesan cheese. Vanilla ice cream with pineapple, caramel sauce, pistachios and a cherry on top.
