Friday night: what was your main meal today?
Comments (17)I went to a monthly picnic potluck in the park. We had salads, tacos, chips and little smokies in sauce along with cupcakes and mini cinnamon rolls. It's true potluck and you might have only 4 people show up or twenty. It was a good turnout with a lot of variety. There have been times when it was only desserts. DD met me there with the grand kids when it was toward the end so we could spend some time together. DGD entertained us with a song and dance she performed on top of an empty table. The world is her stage and she loves to rock out. LOL. She's 4. She wanted her 2 year old brother to take a turn but he was busy passing out Cheetos to everyone so we would be orange like him. ;-) Spent the rest of the day with DD and kids. Before I came home I drove another 12 miles to a diner I like. They have an extra special turkey club. it comes with avocado and cheese in addition to the turkey, bacon. lettuce and tomato. It's huge and the turkey is fresh roasted and cut thick. That was dinner with fruit on the side (watermelon, strawberries, bananas and cantaloupe....See MoreWhat was for your main meal today?
Comments (38)I watched the grand kids today. Left their place starving and exhausted so I stopped and ate in at a local Chinese restaurant. I had a combo plate of Mongolian beef with steamed rice and an egg roll. Frotune cookie for dessert. Iced tea for beverage....See MoreYour main meal today .. Tuesday
Comments (29)Yesterday I went out for breakfast, bacon, eggs, hashbrowns, rye toast and coffee at my favorite restaurant. It's been sunny and cool but very windy last few days. Currently clear and 24° F (that's -4.444445°C for my fahrenheitically-challenged friends but I'm not sure what's "metric" for "clear"). Winds are 25 mph (which translates to 40.23 km/h) with gusts well over 50 mph (80.47 km/h). My roof must look like a brush pile from the sound of things overnight. Had a beef stick snack late last night. No breakfast yet. Probably will make a meatloaf and cauliflower slaw later today....See MoreWhat is/will be your main meal today?
Comments (47)Today I'm roasting a chicken, actually two of them and will have whipped potatoes, fresh garden peas, gravy, sliced garden tomatoes and cucumber with red wine vinegar and oil. Honeydew mellon chunks. Terilyn, LOL about showing my sons gf how to cook. Her mother is a fabulous cook and supposedly her daughter does know how but thinks instant is faster. I had to laugh when his gf said she couldn't make it here today for a chicken dinner...she said she was busy and besides she had poultry yesterday...LOL. I wanted to tell her turkey lunch meat isn't poultry its chemicals. LOL....See Morerhizo_1 (North AL) zone 7
