OhMY. (((((HUGS))))) for you silvia! Such a SAD, Sad thing. EVERY person being so senselessly killed in these tremulous times, leaves behind so many loved ones, friends, neighbors and villages devastated. Can we imagine how the effects of EACH killing ripples thru all those lives.....and more. My heart breaks too! Every Time.

I understand how you feel, Sylvia. I have a friend who is on the Dallas police force. She was called in to duty Thurs. night, thank God she wasn't hurt. But I have cried off and on all day yesterday, and it looks like today isn't going to be any better.

A senseless death...I'm so sorry....

Also thank you for the white iris. They're VERY pretty blooming at my house. They grew into little fairy circles....I'm really enjoying them. Thinking of YOU!!

Six weeks ago, one of our local police officers was gunned down and died after arriving at the hospital. It was simply a routine traffic stop in the wee hours of the morning. We are a small town in Central Mass. 42-year old father of three and just an all-round wonderful person, so well-liked. The perpetrator was caught and killed in a face-off with police, local, city and federal. He was out on bail for former crime, with a long history of offenses. It devastated our town and the entire area. And "bringing him home" (from Boston's med.examiner) was the same phrase used, which definitely is heart-breaking, as was watching the police escort through town . I still cry.

Yes, all lives matter.

Actually there were other officers attached killed in other states on Thursday as well. Something is terribly wrong with this country right now.

sylviatexas -- I'm so sorry. Senseless slaughter. People are killing one another every day, all over this nation. Racism and anger are only some of the emotions that become lethal with guns added into the equation. How can we expect police to do their job, knowing *everyone* is armed?

The mood here is somber, our prayers for the families and friends of these brave men are being said. I've found myself breaking to tears a lot over the past few days. I heard that Brent was laid to rest yesterday afternoon on the news last night.

Please let's not turn this into a gun control topic.

My cousin posted a facebook video of the procession as it came into town.

very somber, very emotional, & I think everybody in town was there, standing straight, heads bowed, hands on hearts.

Corsicana is a small town in Texas, not important on the world map, heck, most likely not even *on* the world map, but when something like this happens, people show up for each other.
