Not sure what's happening to our pear trees...
Comments (2)That looks like fabraea leaf spot. There are several fungicides that work on it. If you have 2000 fruit trees you may want to find a consultant who can help you formulate a good commercial spray program for your orchard. Scott...See MoreOT: What has happened to our Honey Bees?
Comments (8)I just got done watching the whole video. That was the most extensive show I've seen on CCD. It is heartbreaking to see what's happening to the bees. This just further reinforces that we need to go organic or at least more organic and to be self sustainable as possible. I am not totally organic but it is something that I am working on. Thanks so much for posting the link. DH and I really enjoyed watching it. rmbill it is great to hear that you have bees. I don't expect to get honey my first year either, after reading on some bee forums about them being able to survive the first winter. I am hoping to start some bees next spring and trying to decide what kind of hive to buy or perhaps build. I really want to have an orchard and grow things that the bees will like and then eventually get honey. I have been using a tsp full of local honey that I bought at our local farmer's market, in my tea each morning for my pollen allergies and it has done wonders....See Morewhat happened to my last post???
Comments (8)Hi Luvs, enjoying yourself? Have a good time with the hubby but be careful. The border leaves are done with a filbert (cat's tongue) brush. I double loaded it with Light Avocado and white for the lighter leaves and then just made one stroke. The darker leaves are Dark Green and Light Avocado on a small flat brush, double loaded. Then doing similar to Donna D, two stokes to make the leaf, keeping the lighter color to the outside. The vine is just line work. The dots are made by dipping the end of the paint brush in red, and I probably shaded with a darker red and highlighted with orange (not really sure if I did that or not.) thanks and talk to you later, B...See Morewhat happened to the arrow?
Comments (36)Sometimes (often) I would mistakenly bump the Houz up arrow by accident. When using an iPhone or iPad, I just tap once a bit below the black margin at the top of my device screen. This takes me to the very top. If I was to go to a previous screen, I tap upper left of screen and a blue < appears that I can tap once to go back previous screens in the same window. Now, on the two aforementioned Apple devices, does anyone know how to move quickly to the very bottom of a screen? (Other than to thump/finger keep sweeping down past pages. Thanks...See MoreUser
