Comments (5)So no flowers for me? That is quite alright as I have my hands full trying to get my Jades to flower... not sure if I could take on another "project" :) Good idea, Costarico, I have been looking into that after seeing pics of much fuller ones. The single stem look of mine is nice, however, I do admire the bushier ones. I would propagate the top part if pruned but I'm not sure if now is the best time to be doing so? When you say "cut down" about how far do you mean as I wouldn't want to cut down more than half. Thanks to you both....See MoreCan you kind people help me out with ID'ing these plants?

Comments (40)Hi magpie, you could always fool around with some crafty stuff too. This is a $1 garage sale buy; it had an ugly picture print and a nasty brown frame. About eighteen years ago on a whim I poured a few shades of double pigment paint on Cling Wrap and zapped in an old microwave in the garage. After priming the picture I poured some metallic paints on and blended. I then glued on the Cling Wrap and stitched everything in with stitch craft paint. I wasn't actually expecting much out of the junk but I ended up liking it. The picture now lives in the game room; it took no time, money and little experience to make. Although this would not be exactly right for your space I hope I have inspired you to try and mock a few canvases like those cool panels in your inspiration picture. http://s1004.photobucket.com/albums/af170/jterrilynn/?action=view&current=picture017.jpg" target="_blank"> http://s1004.photobucket.com/albums/af170/jterrilynn/?action=view&current=picture015.jpg" target="_blank">...See MoreI'm new here, thought I'd let you know... :)
Comments (43)Greetings Else (and others) ... ... from another south-western Ontario denizen - in my situation, near London, about half way Detroit/Windsor to Toronto/Buffalo. Hope you enjoy your stay: there's a lot of good talk, friendliness, some useful advice and general good feeling (despite some snarkiness from time to time - which one can choose to ignore, if so inclined). And we value folks who have been lurkers adding their ideas and opinions, rather than just sitting and quietly absorbing. As I went into the bank just now, it was starting to "spit" a bit ... when I came out (another story - see my thread) it was raining. But, as I said to someone just going in ... some of us have been "all wet" (or said to be so) for years. ole joyful...See Moreiamhopscotch
